Spaghetti Legs - Krzysztof is a perfect example of being some Zuffa execs drinking buddy lobbying hard to get into the UFC and getting easy fights to hype him up
There are 1000s of more talented fighters than this guy, who wont get the same chance, what a ripoff
I'd love to see the 1000 other 205'ers who are better than Kryzstof.
Really 1000 is a lot.
and Kryzstof seems to really have turned it up a notch since being on TUF. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that he has relocated to Team Quest to train full-time.
Will he beat Vera? That I don't know. But being that he is as strong as an ox, don't count him out, that's for sure.
He has been at Team Quest to train full-time for about 2 years if not more... I'm sorry Tom, but when i see Krzysztof fighting i see the same guys who beat Mike Stwart, Kyle Kingsbury and lost to a chump with 2-2 record... except that now his tattoo on his back is almost done. That's the only change i can see...
^ Well you're right that he is a bit slow, and his reaction time could be better. But comparing him to his previous fights, he has had good game plans and has fought much better. One can only improve through tough fights, and a loss. Look for the Polish Experiment to be back and better then ever.
Seems he has trouble when he gets on the mat as well? I see him on his back and wonder. I have heard he is strong as shit, makes me think, why does he want to stand nearly all the time, given his reactions and not take advantage of his size and strength.I wonder if he thinks his reach is such an advantage?
madmav - vinny what did you think about the nog/couture fight.. i thought nog's roll of couture was sweet
One of the best fight that I've seen in awhile... Nog looked like the old Nog from Pride, and Randy did really good too. watching that fight you would never tell that Randy is 46 and Nogueira 50 something, they both look much younger.
ps: I'm joking! ;)
Haha, seriously. Nog looked ten years younger, an inexperienced viewer could almost mistake Nog for being in his mid 40s!
I've seen some improvement in kristoff, and being of the opinion he would be stopped brutally by Vera in the first, I was impressed he took him to a decision. I think a greener fighter would have been finished. On top of that, so many names that recieved ufc exposure because of their tuf exploits come to mind a lot quicker than kristoff's. I think Vinny is being harsh here personally.
Krzysztof is a good fighter but there are a lot of better fighters who are not in the UFC. 1,000? Probably not. But there are quite a few great fighters that aren't currently signed to the UFC. He puts on exciting fights and the UFC execs like him so that is good enough for me. Vinny got cut after his last fight (which I disagree with) but there are definitely fighters on the UFC roster that he could embarrass if he fought them. Styles make fights and if you get matched up against the wrong person they can make you look like you have never fought before. It's just the way it is.
