Who is the 4th GOAT?

Ramon Maroni - Hendo

has always faced the best, never ducked anyone, fought above his weight numerous times(and won)

Exactly ! Phone Post

Strong case for Hendo, Shogun, BJ, Nog, Saku, Hughes, Chuck, etc.

So many great, great fighters in the last decade.

In a few years there will be a spot made for Jones and Machida as well imo though they both have long roads ahead of them to earn it.

You can make an arguement for these guys in any order based on how long they held their titles or how many titles they won and just the basic eyeball test from watching them...Silva and GSP are 1 and 2....the rest could be up for debate.

1. Penn

2. Hughes

3. Wand

4. Chuck

5. Hendo

6. Fedor

(in no particular order)

Right now, I'd have to say Hendo.

frank the legend??

32m - BJ.

Who else is NOT scared to move up in weight? Nuff said.

Not being scared to move up in weight doesn't make you the goat. Rich, Nate Diaz, Diego, vitor, rashad, or koschek all move or moved up and down in weight and "arn't scared" to do it. So by your logic they should all be #4 Phone Post

sakuraba's weight adventures make penn look like a scaredy-cat.

Sakuraba won a UFC championship fighting a guy who weighed 60 pounds more than him.

Saku was 183 pounds, and a little chubby. He was a natural welterweight who, during his prime, dominated MW, LHW and HW fighters who often had 30-40 pounds on him.

If Sakuraba grew up today as an american wrestler, instead of years ago as a japanese wrestler, he'd probably be fighting at Lightweight. Minus 7-8 pounds of pudge and the effects of chain-smoking, and he could have cut to 155 like some of today's huge 155'ers do.

All time Top Ten

1. Anderson
2. Fedor
3. GSP
4. Sakuraba
5. Big Nog
6. Penn
7. Hughes
8. Royce Gracie
9. Couture
10. Henderson

Honorable mention: Coleman, Liddell, Shogun, Gomi, Kimbo, Shamrock, Faber, Wanderlei.

BJ or Hendo, depends on what happens in their next few fights

Sakuraba or Wand.

Hendo or BJ. Both fighters are still relevant, in two different weight classes if they choose to be.

Gotta be Penn. Not only was he a dominate LW champ but he beat a PRIME Matt fucking Hughes to win the WW title too.
