Did karate and judo as a kid, then started MT in 04 and bbj in 07.
With my 3 herniated prolapsed discs I have tried coming back and training again and when I so I further damage my back (surgery did fuck all)
Now at 42, I think I have to finally realise that I will never be able to train again and will just have to train weights and try and be healthy
Did you learn the judo chop?
I only did it as a kid and only stuck at it for about 7months.

Got my BB is Kenpo decades ago. Every fight Iāve ever gotten into I banged and used boxing, LOL. BJJ got pretty big in the stunt world (Iām a stuntman/actor) so started doing that. Gave it up when I transitioned to more acting until my son came along. He started when he was 7 and now heās 13. I roll but take it easy. Iāve injured myself so many times doing stunts that I just canāt commit 100%. Iām also probably older than 90% of the members here.
Iāll add that my wife and 9 yr old daughter does BJJ as well. Daughter started when she was 5. Sheās 9 now. Iām almost to the point of giving it up. Getting older sucks. I love MMA and my son is pretty damn good because he lives for MMA. Does boxing, wrestling and BJJ now. Donāt regret it one bit. Itās brought my entire family closer. Just wish time would slow down a bit.
Did he ever get got? When I was 11 a local smack head robbed me and roughed me up. Nothing sexual thank god. A few years later my step dad sparked him out in the pub. A good clean punch he told me, although now Iām grown I imagine Iāll still get red mist if I see the fucker. I aināt a little kid anymore and he needs a kicking.

graduated high school in 95. wasnt good enough at sports to play in collegeā¦ well more to the point I was in deep with my first loveā¦ saw UFC1 and looked up jiujitsu in the yellow pages. Trained JJJ and judo for a couple years before their was BJJ in my area. Been training/teaching ever since!

Thatās creepy as hell. Reminds me of my 9th grade drivers Ed. teacher. Weighted about 350lbs and everyone knew he was queer. He would grab the steering wheel at the 6pm position and act like he was correcting your driving when in reality he was copping a feel.
All the guys told on him but not one damn thing happened to this perv. He would randomly say shit like, you know, youāre not considered GAY if you let someone do something to you. Kid you not. This was in the early 80ās. No one gave a shit back then.
