I remember seeing him fighting in the UCC (TKO) in Montreal before he fought in the UFC - what a great fighter. I think he was suppose to fight on the last Affliction card. Any chance of him fighting in the UFC again (thoughts)??
Mark is a 145. Back in the WEC maybe, but not at 155 ,he's too small.

Thanks Chris - does Mark still train with Sam Stout out of London?
I like watching Hominick fight (very entertaining when he is on the winning end, but kind of a sore loser), but as mentioned he is a 145lb'r not 155lb so there is no place for him in the UFC, and he didn't fair too well in the WEC.
However TTT for Hominick vs Marcelo Giudici, I'd pay to watch that fight.
What weight did Hominick fight in when he did fight in the UFC (145 or 155)??
Good fighter. Lame begging for lighter division though. I'd pay to watch him fight.
Hansumboy - The UFC LW wrestlers would have a field day with him.
Considering that he triangled Yves Edwards and easily outpointed Gurgel, I don't think "field day" is the term I'd use. I think Hominick would make a fight with anyone. But in all fairness, the UFC 55ers of every background are now larger than ever and it is tough to picture him gaining any real headway. A fight would Edgar might have been a good idea at one point if Edgar went 45 in the WEC, but now? Probably not.

Penn
Tyson Griffin
Diego
Edgar
Maynard
Sherk
Florian
Guida
Nate Diaz
Hermes Franca
Spencer Fisher
Josh Neer
Joe Stevenson
Kurt Pellegrino
Joe Lauzon
I would say he would be luck to win 2 or 3 of those fights. Many of those guys would work him over.
Not bashign him, because he does have some nice wins, but he would not do well with most of the established UFC LW guys!
I would tend to agree. Looking at that list, he is way too small and not nearly a good enough wrestler in most cases. I think Fisher is actually a decent match, even Lauzon or Franca. But the others are way too big and athletic for him - true.
I just took slight exception to the term "field day", as if he were a scrub.
Mark is awesome, would love to see him back in the UFC
He's a great, very skilled guy, but just undersized for 155 nowadays. He'd make a great WEC 145'er though.
I do not. I think he is where he belongs.
