He was making good money and that's what he wanted, it's not like he has too much now.
I heard at the time he left because of the impact it took on his body and all the traveling...anyone else hear this....and if so I can't imagine Pro wrestling being physically harder than MMA....
Those guys are always on the road and the bumps they take have to add up. Alot of money and shit is fine, but when you don't have time to sit back and be at home and enjoy life, then something is up.
But I think he just wanted to go back to a competitive environment. Wrestlers are born to compete, and MMA caters to them after college.
Pro wrestling despite being fake is way harder on the body. They are constantly working and if you watch all access Lesnar is country to the core. MMA allows him to avoid the spot light except for a few times a year while WWE he had to constantly be in it.
I remember seeing a video of Brock doing a flying back flip off the top rope in WWE and landing on his friggin head completely missing the guy he was supposed to land on. Any normal man would have been either dead or paralyzed for life from that shit. But he finished the match, and carried on.
300 Pounds...On his head!...From like 12 or 15 feet in the air!
Tough bastard!...I can see why he wanted to get away from that crap, It's just not worth it. Fighting MMA is much safer!
That was at Wrestlemania, doiing a Shooting Star Press onto Kurt Angle. You summed it up nicely, Kurt was too far out and he under rotated and landed on his skull.
just you mentioning that reminds me of what an athletic freak of nature Brock is. The guy moves quick as hell. It'll be interesting to see how his movement looks inside the octagon tonight.
Pro wrestling is a really ugly environment for someone that seems to like the quiet life...You travel 300 days a year (or did back when Lesnar was in the WWE...that take a real toll on you), have to take awful punishment, you are surrounded by drugs...I don't think Brock was particularly friendly with most of the wrestlers and he was still a young guy.
Having such an unforgiving lifestyle right out of college would be too much for a lot of people, especially if your goals were to own a farm and live in the country.
