that was hilarious, they didnt want to have the ppv world hear him being booed by the crowd so they cut to the brock promo right away
i think he lost the fight personally but ive never ever seen an interview skipped after a #1contenders match
congrats Jake, what an amazing accomplishment in your first ufc "fight"
Yeah, that was strange.
He is not a UFC level fighter. Dana just brought him in to fuck over strikeforce and so he could feed him to GSP who will obliterate Shields with ease. Which will make Strikeforce look ridiculous. Then Shields will be shelved or fed to somebody else and then released. Jake is being used here. Blatantly.
LOL @ the intellectual thinkers.
Shields' camp was concerned he would even make weight -- the cut was hell.
His manager/dad admitted that Shields had a back injury 12 weeks out that effected his training
He beat Kampmann, who is a top 5/6 WW, who just beat a top 10 WW in Thiago
Four fights ago, he finished Paul Daley, a top 10 WW that top 3 WW Kos could not finish
In his last fight, he dominated Henderson, a perennial top 10 fighter at MW and LHW (edit- thx johnny101)
You are all -- blatantly -- fags.
anyone else feel like Rogan was trying "extra hard" to sell the win to Jake?
"neither did you dude"
i cant think of a single replay of Shields doing something impressive, all the impressive replays were Kampmann knees and Kampmann stuffs,i think he stuffed about 70 percent of his attempts
if takedowns count for scoring then shouldnt takedown stops?
i saw more sub attempts from kampmann then i did shields, ill go out and say it,even in the grappling aspect i thought Shields lost
Shields looked very worn out in the fight. And he looked awesome at 185.
The cut must have taken a lot out of him, but I think he'll show his true skills in his next fight.
They didn't interview him because they were pressed for time. Every fight on the Main Card had went to decision. If the Lesnar-Cain fight had went the distance they would have been close to the time cut-off in addition to the Post-Fight interview.
Put away your conspiracy theory. I think it had more to do with time issues. Had the Main Event went 5 rounds last night the PPV would have seriously been close running over.
Because nobody wants to hear the opinion of a guy who did nothing but dry hump his opponent.
Takedown, side control, mount... nothing.

Nobody pays to watch that shit.

agreed
Henderson even said that he only had one round in him for that fight. Sheilds could be interesting if he tried to hit even a little bit hard. I think GSP beats him without taking any damage but it could be a long fight.

not even close,conspiracy theory?
lets see, someone just "won" a "fight" and is going to be headling his next ppv which is for the TITLE and your not gonna interview him because of time?
i could have sworn there was close to an hour of "ppv time" left when that fight ended anyway
dbl
d3vil0ck - meh
lol i caught it but i wont say nothn
isnt the ppv 3 hours? it was barely midnight when the fight ended
I'm pretty sure it was a production decision...they dropped the post-fight interview because the PPV was already into the third hour (almost 15 min into the last slotted hour, IIRC) and they wanted to ensure that the whole main event would be shown in case it went the full five rounds (which would have taken at least 29 additional minutes, not counting the walk-ins and judges decision being read).

Exactly
they know what fights there gonna show depending on how much time is left, considering they showed about 3 fights after the fight and they all were quick and they still had about 15 minutes of time when they ended the ppv i highly doubt they would skip a 2 minute interview to promote a title fight because of a time factor
YEAH, THE CUT/INJURY LOOKED LIKE IT HAD ALOT TO DO WITH HIS PERFORMANCE. HE ISN'T READY FOR GSP RIGHT NOW.
50 minutes left in the ppv to be exact, that gives a 25minute potential title fight,a 5 minute intro and 20 minutes of time to kill
a 2 minute interview to promote a title shot seems necessary, especially considering it was his first fight in the ufc.Bottom line is that crowd went berserk with boos when it was announced and they knew it would look bad to interview him
