Why no win bonus?

Junior Dos Santos: $200,000 (no win bonus)
def. Frank Mir: $200,000

why no win bonus?

Contract probably does not call for one Phone Post

It possible that fighters may take the option for no win bonus (possibly even a lower disclosed salary as well) but a higher PPV%.
It can be risky, as PPV orders are not guaranteed, so if the card doesn't do well (in regards to PPV purchases) then perhaps you won't make as much money, but if the PPV does well then you may make more money.
A higher up front salary will be guaranteed as it's not dependent on PPV purchases so it's less risky.

PPV% is a great way to go for both the organization and the fighter as they both profit from the event. It's in the fighters best interest to "Sell" the PPV, you know trash talking, getting a buzz going, promo's, etc. The organization gets a lot of marketing, the event gets a lot of orders, the fighter profits as does the organization. It's a way for the fighter to take some control over their income.

If I'm CB Stallaway and I get to headline a PPV I would probabley go with the higher salary and no PPV%!
