Today The Dutch Press reported a story about illegal doping which multiple units of illegal substances were found in the apartment of Badr Hari. Hari of course was under investigation for assault and accused of manslaughter.
The police who searched Hari's apartment looking for evidence in the current Assault case when they happened upon the collection of anabolic steroids and drug masking agents.

Acording Badr Hari the steroids as well as the masking agents used to fool blood tests did not belong to him. But he kept them for a third person ( as a side note, recent rumors from Holland reported Alistair Overeem spending a great deal of time recently in Holland and training at Mike's gym which is famously known as a home to Badr Hari. Also rumored that both got huge amounts of illegal drugs from the house doctor of Mike gym; Papa Mike.

Since Alistair Overeem changed gyms he has been spotted training regularly with Mike Passenier in Holland and he has also been seen with Papa Mike. Overeem was suspended from fighting in the UFC for the period of 9 months for an elevated testosterone level caused by the use of illegal steroids. After Overeem’s loss against Big Foot the majority of fans found that Overeem was exposed as a cheater.

Overeem’s recent loss against upcoming UFC fighter Travis Brown we could see Mike Passenier (owner from Mikes gym) in his corner. It was strange to watch the once invincible "Ubereem” taking 7 front kicks from Travis Brown before getting dropped with the same front kick on his chin ultimately knocking him out. As a former k1 champion, you'd expect more. At least a quicker adjustment. Alistair was once the hottest fighter and most talked about striker on the planet and now he's on the verge of getting laughed out of or 'knocked out' out of the UFC.
This should be a warning for future athletes to stay away from these illegal substances as well as any gym repeatedly linked with this type of action. If they're not going to look out for your best interest both in the ring and in life, look out for it yourself. Gyms with leaders like Papa Mike only care about the money not about the life of the athlete. If you cheat you will get caught. Hopefully.

How would this "bring down" Overeem? Everyone knows he used in the past, he failed a test for it. If they were going to raid his home on suspicion they would have already.

Overeem doesn't regret anything... steroids and fighting those guys in Japan made him a ton of money when he came to the UFC. I don't think he gets that hype or money if he had been clean and continued to roll with it at 205.
