Maia has fought in Brazil 8 times in the UFC. I believe this is the first time he's competing in his opponents backyard.

In the last 7 years Maia has only lost to Rory Macdonald, Jake Shields, Usman, Woodley and Covington. All World Champions. Demian’s the toughest fight at Welterweight that isn’t a current/former Champion.
