Sarah Kaufman just got taken out of the rankings so I guess UFC cut her/isn't re-signing her

Word was that she fought out her contract rather than taking a lower offer. Hope to see her back in Invicta.

Sarah confirmed she was offered and turned down the fight against Cris. I wonder if she regrets the decision. Maybe she will make the move to Bellator?

That's interesting...Sarah is a legit top 10 BW and former world champion. I hope she lands a decent deal elsewhere if true. Phone Post 3.0

I agree and I do hope she is paid what she is worth because in my opinion, Sarah is one of many who didn't get a fair deal and should be earning more than she is. Jessica Eye is currently 1-3-1 and will be facing Sara McMann who is currently 2-3 so I assume both fighters signed new contracts. Sarah K is currently 1-2-1 in the UFC. If Sarah  chose to fight out her contract and not accept the UFC offer, I could be wrong but I doubt she will go back to Invicta for less. Sarah did  state something along the lines of she would move up to 145 for the right money, if Julia Budd is earning $24k and Marloes earned $63k maybe she will make the move.

Interesting. Phone Post 3.0

The Champ is looking phenomenal. I anticipatte Orcus making a seperate thread once he sees this video :)

As I mentioned before, I believe that a rematch was never on the books for Holly and the UFC called her bluff by offering her the fight against Cris when she had previously been campaigning for the fight. I listed to the interview and Holly in my opnion and with respect, didnt sound confident that she wanted to fight Cris in the future

Please find below excerpts from a recent on the MMAHour

She broke down her frustrations on a recent edition of The MMA Hour:

"I definitely feel like our fight had more competitiveness. I feel like our fight was more competitive than the main event that night as far as... yes I lost my belt, but I was winning the fight and it kind of creates this curiosity of what would happen in a rematch. I don't know. Hopefully they will put something together. But obviously it's going to be a while. After UFC 200, if she still has the belt, who knows how much time she is going to want to take off. That's what's frustrating is that, man, I want to fight for that rematch, but it might be a while so I have to see if they want to give me a different fight. Maybe Zingano or Pena, but they put them together. Right now it just seems like I'll be hanging out for awhile, and it's frustrating."

On the flip side, she feels her fight against Miesha did help the UFC 196 numbers go up a bit, and a rematch at UFC 200 would've done well, too. That said, Holm can't help but to be a bit disappointed that Tate didn't return the favor and give her a fight when she did just that at UFC 196.

"I would hope she would want to give me the chance like I gave her the chance. But I also feel like I take responsibilities for what I do and I am the one that lost the belt, so I lost a lot of my pull of what I can wish and hope for and push for. Yeah, I was hoping she would give me that chance, but she also has her own career to focus on and what she aspires to do, so I can't judge her for that, either. I was hoping she would, but I'm not mad at her or anything like that."

As far as turning down a fight against Cris Cyborg, Holly says she isn't opposed to fighting her, but her heart is completely set on fighting for the title. And had she known 100-percent that it would be a no-go against Tate, she would've thought twice about declining the Cyborg bout.

Sarah was asked about this and please find below her response

No clue but maybe based on my recent lack luster performance?

FOX Force Five -
Ray Elbe - She is going to win Phone Post 3.0

Is that a "want her to win" pick Ray, or are you confident in her skills etc vs Tate?

If she does win, it makes the division even more interesting IMO.
Miesha Tate isn't on DWTS Phone Post 3.0

Holly stated that she wants to fight so, possible opponents? I wouldnt mind seeing Holly vs Raquel again if Raquel defeats Bethe. In my opnion and I say respectully, I believe Raquel won their first fight. Another option in my opinion is the former Invicta BW Champion Lauren Murphy. A very interesting fight would be Holly vs Valentina. What say you?

I thought you were predicting Nunes to take the title!

I've only seen Paige's performances on DWTS but they look good.

New co-main event for UFC on FOX 19 becomes Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres

New co-main event for UFC on FOX 19 becomes Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres

That's going to be a great fight. Phone Post 3.0

Bethe Correia hasn’t stepped in the UFC’s famed octagon since this past August when her dreams of becoming UFC champion were dashed at the hands of Ronda Rousey  in 34 seconds. The layoff, she said, was the result of needing to recover from the frenzy surrounding the UFC 190 fight with Rousey.
Correia (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) suffered the first defeat of her career against Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC). After heaps of trash talk leading to the bout, Rousey stormed across the cage and did not stop punching until Correia was finished. The speed and one-sidedness of the bout were bad enough for her, but the surrounding controversy took things to another level, Correia said.
Rousey’s father committed suicide when she was a child, which colored Correia’s pre-fight taunt of “Please don’t kill yourself – don’t commit suicide, because I will give you the rematch” in a very ugly light. The Brazilian bantamweight offered an apology for the comments, pleading ignorance, butRousey wasn’t wasn’t buying it. The fact Correia also referenced Rousey’s past drug use and eating disorder made it hard for many to accept the suicide comments as coincidence.
“Some people love to critique, to point out errors,” Correia told MMAjunkie. “They all think that in my place, they would have done something different. I feel bad for them, as they don’t know the truth. I always won all competitions, as an amateur, even in training. I would face any woman. To be undefeated makes one feel like they could beat anyone. It generates a great deal of confidence. Combine that with the dream of being champion, and one becomes an optimist above the norm. Even if everything points to the contrary, the faith is still there that one can remain undefeated.”
“Everything I said before my fight with Ronda Rousey was what I felt was the truth. I wouldn’t change anything. I said what I thought. I just didn’t know the bad side of the media. I didn’t know that so many things would be distorted. Many journalists used my good faith to sell headlines. I became the villain of the story in my own country. I was very sad before, during and after that fight.”
Correia will return to competition Saturday at UFC on FOX 19 when she faces Raquel Pennington(6-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC). The bout airs on the FOX-televised prelims ahead of the FOX main card and following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. The event takes place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.
The 32-year-old said she needed to leave Brazil and change things up following her defeat. After taking time to get herself together mentally, it became a matter of the UFC finding her an opponent, she said.
“I came off a fight that had strong repercussions throughout the world,” Correia said. “When it was over, I didn’t want to fight for some time, since I hadn’t had time accept things. Little by little I woke up from the shock. It was very difficult. I needed time to compose myself. I decided to leave Brazil and went to train in the U.S.. That’s where I found renewed motivation to return to my pursuit of the belt. In December, I talked to the UFC and they had me booked to face Jessica Eye in February, but she refused. So they rebooked me for April against Raquel Pennington, who accepted immediately. I think everyone wants to see me fight again and see my performance after what happened with Ronda.”

New co-main event for UFC on FOX 19 becomes Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres

So the Namajunas v Torres fight is now the co-main yet Belator won't even put their inaugural women's FW title fight on their main card.

Maybe it's time to acknowledge the UFC for supporting WMMA. Phone Post 3.0
