Yana Santos vs Miesha Tate UFC Iowa

Miesha Tate is back! Her last fight was in December of 2023. She’s been out over a year and closer to a year and a half by the time she meets Yana Santos at UFC Iowa.

Ranked at number 10 Yana Santos should be a slight favorite going into this fight. She’s on a one fight win streak beating Chelsea Chandler back in August of 2024. She’s bigger the former Invicta FC bantamweight champion is two inches taller then Tate and has a sizable reach advantage. She’s also heavier and in my opinion stronger. Santos is also three years younger.

Both women started training as fighters at an early age. Both women also took time off to have kids and are now trying to reemerge to their former glory. Tate has done it all in the UFC winning both the UFC and Strikeforce bantamweight titles she’s a big star and if Santos can beat her it’s a big fight for her.

Tate is known for her heart and her cardio and her non stop will. Santos is also very head strong and will not give up. Tate needs to find an area she can dominate. Standing up or on the ground Tate needs to find her niche. If not she might be dominated by the bigger, stronger and younger fighter.

Tate said before the fight that she still has it! Do you agree with Miesha? Will she get the victory or will she suffer a major loss to Yana Santos?
