Nobody in this thread believed the claims in the original video about the attendance, PPV buys, the purses being offered, etc…
It was a hilariously bad video.
I just wanted to believe Shaw, Hall etc… were going to fight one another in a one and done promotion that was going to pay them well.
I’m not sure how it could possibly benefit this promotion by getting their name out there with Shaw and those guys only to have those guys say to their followers they won’t be on the show.
Thats not how you create actual attendance or get views. Not that I’ve ever heard of.
I wonder if another promotor will reach out to them about a potential fight, seeing as they did a bit of training

Seems like Shaw believed someone was gonna pay him to fight. I don’t think he would deceive his audience, waste his own time and hurt his own brand for like some quick cash to promote something fake. Someone said enough to convince him he would be paid a lot to fight.
Nobody believed their crazy claims about the size of the event though.
Dana needs to sign them to a special set of SHW fights. He owes it to the fans after the CM Punk and empty WFW division stuff.

I tried checking the original Youtube vid to get an update to see how their Subscribers count is growing after that initial jump from 3 people to 4 people… but to no ones surprise they deleted the channel… I wonder how many they got to before they dumped it lol

I did a deep dive one day and our old friend Bill K. looks to have been cancelled back in the day. He was just too rough and wild for the era at the time and wasn’t invited to several of them if I remember correctly due to accidents like the barrel race.

Yeah, Kazmaier was before my time. They didn’t really air his comps on cable I noticed as a kid in the 80’s but I started watching in the 90’s and would see him on commentary. Was watching by the 90’s though as a teen. I honestly think its beyond impressive what Pudz was able to do in WSM and then to have as much success as he has in MMA. He really did become a dangerous fighter that won some big fights despite his age. I mean he got right in there with Sylvia when he was 2-0 and Sylvia was 25-6.

Agreed! KSW is kind of crazy. There’s some Pride FC vibes in there. When he destroyed Butterbean, I was proud of him. He could’ve easily gotten Butterbean’d, then become a meme or gif like Bart Gunn.
