I don’t dispute the strength thing. But Rickson wouldn’t get past his strength period to overcome on anything. it wouldve come down to technique vs technique and where Karelin being a true heavyweight would win and dominate! Rickson would be in dyer situation being lifted or smothered from top positions with punches or straight holds he wouldn’t be able to get out of. Because once he would move he would be OUT greco’ed! His jui jitsu wouldn’t be able to be used offensively compared to height weight difference and high level of Greco!
Plus, karelin’s dad box! From that work of a fight when he fought that Japanese guy; he stayed in a half decent enough of a stance to understand to close the distance. Where his Greco destroyed and toyed that guy!
Imagine if he would’ve been able to strike there instead of patty cake!

Also if Karelin decided that the fight is not going to ground, it is not going there. I can’t see Rickson being able to take down beast like that and then it would be standing and wanging with a guy outweighing him by 100lbs of muscle.
