Alex Pereira vs Wanderlei Silva

Watch the first Wand v Mirko fight. He was out-kicked but he won the pure punching exchanges. His reflexes were on point at that point in his career. Not to say that this means AP wouldn’t win, but Wand had technique in his prime.

Guess who was his main sparring partner for that fight, Anderson Silva! Was no secret he had his shit wired tight for that fight and used his brain for a change.

I think Wand just aggro’d his way through a lot of his prime but against Mirko he understood that he wasn’t going to be able to do that. Cro-Cop was smashing his side with those kicks but in the punching exchanges Wand was the aggressor and was straight with his punches for the most part. I forgot just how quick he was because of just how long he hung on past his prime and I got used to seeing ham and eggers like Leben stand and wang with him.

Unfortunately he’s not “playing.”

Oh Jesus Christ, this fuckin guy will try to find any bit of bullshit to try and make his points. Did he even hurt Mirko with his pitter patter punches? Because Mirko did breaks his orbital with a punch and knock him down very hard in the 2nd fight.

And I didn’t know you were openly gay, congrats on not being afraid to admit it on a forum like this. Next you will make a thread about how Jeff Molina beats Cro Cop…

Bruh, wut are you talking about?

You were taking about gay assholes on the thread. I said good for you.

You are way emotional about a hypothetical fight. Kinda weird. To me at least. I don’t know why someone would get all worked up about this.

Wanderlei. Pereira has NEVER seen that level of aggression and on the way in Wanderlei would clinch and foot sweep or body lock take down and catch with soccer kick or stomp on the way up

Wand seemed way off for the second CroCop fight. Then went downhill after.

Hunt couldn’t do much with him, no chance Pereira is either

I was talking about gay assholes? Stop fantasy and re-read the the thread you stupid fuck. That wasn’t me who said that. I knew you were dumb as shit, you can’t even follow posts!

When you are completely outclassed you tend to look “way off.”

See here is where I prove you wrong and once again admit openly when I’m wrong. I mistook a post for yours. See? Not difficult for me at all.

If Alex is allowed to juice like Wanderlei did in Pride…I’d take Alex

With a special K-1 style rule set. 10 second standups so no real time for groundwork, etc.

It was only a draw because there were no judges and a KO was pretty much the only way to win. If there was a decision, Wand probably would have won.

Who else would even take that fight, btw?

Openweight fight against a handpicked heavyweight killer from K-1 with special rules negotiated by K-1 to be overwhelmingly favorable to their heavyweight?

Think GSP or Jon Jones takes that deal?

Or the one where he gave up like 90 lbs to Mark Hunt on two days notice and lost a controversial decision. Now try getting Jon Jones to do that with Chael Sonnen lol.

Alex on Pride level juicing is a terrifying thought.

To be fair, Alex got a direct path to a title shot. He never fought anyone that gave him stylistic trouble.

Izzy was the one that fought all-comers of all styles. If Alex had to go through the same type of challengers that Izzy did, he’s not sniffing the title, imo.

Lol you can’t even spell Samoa

Even from the staredown. Then there was that long stoppage for a cut. Just something was way off. The first fight was a kick boxing match for the most part and he did well.

A lot of these modern fighters would have racked up a lot more losses without the ability to game plan for 6 months in a war room full of coaches watching video like people watch porn for hours a day

Wanderlei fought Cro Cop twice and Mark Hunt.

He essentially won the first Mirko fight and arguably beat Hunt. I like Pereira, but he isn’t as dangerous as those guys at mma.
