I’ve been reading your comments and you seem to think strength is very important. It is, but not nearly as much as you make it seem. You’re telling me an average dude walking around can pick up an elite female MMA fighter and dump her on her head? Lol, with what technique? This isn’t a video game and as soon as they try to close the distance they will get badly fucked up with kicks and punches, or dumped themselves by somebody who actually knows how to get a fight to the ground. We are talking about women who have trained most of their lives and fought at an elite level, they aren’t gonna be scared. The average dude walking around isn’t even ready for a real fight

Not when people have posted videos of “average men” challenging women and getting embarrassed – as if that were some accurate baramoter.

I had a lengthy post earlier where I admitted I’m not exactly sure what the “average man” is in this day and age.
So I qualified my statements.

I’m not posting all that again…

No problem here champ

And yet I can’t believe there are people on this forum that refuse to look at the mountains of video taped evidence of average AND below average men, picking up other men and slamming them on the ground ending the fight. These are ACTUAL street fights.

An average street fight, looks nothing like a MMA fight. Sucker punching, hair grabbing, clothes grabbing, pimp choking, concrete, and hockey/jersey punching tactics are often always present. Often times, you’ll never have enough time to plan out a proper strategy and you will often fight by instincts only, throwing out years of training.

Also, as others have noted, Nunes isn’t the only female MMA champion out there. The rest, including Valentina, get hurt by average teenage boys on r/fightporn.

Yes, there are plenty of videos proving that. It doesn’t take much to lift a 110 lbs - 135 lbs PERSON.

I can’t believe I have to explain this.
This is the effect of MMA going mainstream. Most of these kids are now emulating stuff they saw on UFC. It doesn’t take a genius to know how to pick someone up and throw someone on their heads using zero technique. You still think a MMA fight resembles a street fight.

Believe your lying eyes. These kids look average to me.

If you took a photo of yourself right now and uploaded it to this website, I would be shocked to see that you weren’t wearing a helmet. You’re either retarded (respectfully) or you’re trolling.

You have to be trolling. None of the shit you’re posting involves a 130-160 lbs woman with elite level skill and fight experience. The people being dumped on their head have zero training or understanding of how to stop that shit. An elite level fighter would easily see that coming. That dude wouldn’t even get close without getting lit up first or tied up and fucked up in the clinch. LOL @ a 5’9” untrained, overweight dude going up to an elite female fighter and just picking them up. Most of those idiots don’t even have the mobility to reach down that way. You can’t be this stupid.

It’s better than. “ I know some women mma fighters, they fight good”

I really think Nunez beats the shit out of most men.

I also think most men beat the shit out of Carla Esparza.

Nope- Nunez got beat up by Peña- no decent man of size and strength on the street is losing

The average guy isn’t going to be able to ragdoll people, especially somebody with a lot of training at the highest level, or rage out and go berserk enough to become some unstoppable rage monster. Maybe in fantasy land but an untrained person does not know how to fight and aren’t suddenly going to beat a high level professional in an impromptu street fight because they are a man. There might be exceptions, but this is akin to arguing you could choke out a bear if you were really good at BJJ or something. You get killed around step 3.

When I took up learning submissions and all I was in high school and probably about 150 lbs and an OK wrestler. The club I trained with was part of a student fitness center at a major university and we had all kinds of meathead body builder types and occasionally some would venture in and train. If it was a no rules fight they would have come away badly injured. All that strength and attitude lasted about 30 seconds. Just let them spazz around and try to muscle it and they had nothing for you. These were in shape college students who obviously worked out a lot. Still falling for simple wrestling and grappling tricks and having zero cardio and even when they did get frustrated at getting their ass handed to them by everyone there, they still didn’t do any better.

Some average guy who doesn’t work out and is out of shape would get mauled. If you think otherwise you are stupid or trolling or both.

Your problem is you are thinking training on a mat in a controlled environment is even remotely close to a street fight. Punches , surroundings and most of all heightened state of emotions changes everything. Just because you can sub a meathead on a mat starting from the knees means jack shit. Punches ,kicks bites etc are not part of that world

The biggest difference is the mental part you briefly mentioned. However, a trained person will have much stronger instincts and more controlled emotions. It’s not a guarantee but there’s a higher likelihood. Perhaps somebody with a lot of street fight experience would be ready, but that’s not your average dude.

So even if they proved it, they wouldn’t be proving it. Ridiculous.

I changed my opinion. After watching street beefs, I think the average dude gets whooped by an elite fighter if they are within two weight classes of each other. Maybe more.

Almost as ridiculous as thinking an untrained man would beat the best female fighters in the world.
