Lil Nog vs Rashad 2/2/13. To be fair Rashad had a shit performance, so he could very well turn up and fight to his potential against an opponent like Gus. The only thing is he has been very underwhelming his last few outings, so I don't know if Rashad is anything more than a glorious name to add to Gus' resume at this point. Rashad doesn't fight as well as he used to, imo. I agree with you on that ideally I would love to see all 3 guys face Jones back to back, but realistically chances are one of these guys will lose in one of these lesser matchups to one of the guys that they are not supposed to lose to, and be eliminated from the title talk anyway. Why miss out on a blockbuster while it's available? I understand what you are saying though, and if it all ended up perfectly that is what would be best for us fans. This fight should absolutely happen. It is a natural #1 contender fight and the Jones/Cormier winner will not be able to fight again until at least Spring 2015. The idea of sitting on a promised title shot is dumb. Is it really better to sit idle, coming into your title shot off a 15 month layoff and making no money in the meantime? I mean, come on.
