Is he the future of heavyweight boxing?
He's 12-0, with 12 ko's hasn't been past the 3rd round I believe.
He's only 24 or 25.
I would love to see him get to about 20 pro fights then maybe have a showdown with Fury or Wilder, and then face Klitschko.
Google a pic of him with Carl Froch to get an idea ofhow fucking huge he is!
HEEEEEYYYAAAAAAAOOOOOGGEE!!!!
And Tyson Fury's not in his stratosphere!
His win against Sprott that easily proved to me he's legit. Sprott isn't a world beater, but he's a capable journeyman and I wasn't afraid to put a bit down on him when he was 16/1 in that fight. Joshua/Fury as soon as possible, huge british fight and would show which is ready to step up to be champ material. Tyson gets a lot of shit, most bought on by himself, but he's also legit as fuck
He's fighting has beens, Impossible to judge. 2 years ago David Pryce was the next big hope. Stepped up in comp and had a couple of brutal KOs. I hope the kid steps up, but he has to get past the fodder he's been facing.

Bulked up KO machine, fought Golota as his big push fight and absolutely got WRECKED in the first round, but the South Pol couldn't finish and eventually got put out in a later round.
Was obvious though that Grant was NOT it.
Then he promptly got tuned up by Lewis.
I'll check this guy out though!
He hasn't fought a live body yet and we don't know if he can take a punch. The Brits have fooled me a couple of times with David Price and Harrison 15 years ago.
Also keep your eye on Hughie Fury,Tyson and Andy Lee's cousin,he is a HW prospect that has a lot of talent.
AJ is something of a prodigy. He took up boxing at 18 and was Olympic champion at 22. Wladimir Klitscchko says he is head and shoulders above all the other heavy weights out there. Also there is a revealing radio clip on youtube where Tyson Fury talks about the sparring session they had when Joshua was an up and coming amateur.

Price was in the same situation a few years back now and got worked 2 times so while I'm excited to see what he has in a few years but I'm not letting myself get too excited
Have him fight that huge Chinese guy. That would be awesome
How would you all compare him to Joseph Parker? Who is better? Would love to hear opinions from guys who follow boxing closely
Casual Kiwi - How would you all compare him to Joseph Parker? Who is better? Would love to hear opinions from guys who follow boxing closelyWhat's Parker 's ammy background? I have seen a few KOs from him but never actually watched his fights both have been matched fairly light so far but both have passed with flying colors
OmgItsTheWams -He just kissed Olympic qualification but did qualify for the commonwealth games. I think he just finished a stint sparring with wlad. From what I read Wlad was pretty impressed. Will be interesting to see how both JP and AJ developCasual Kiwi - How would you all compare him to Joseph Parker? Who is better? Out of interest are any of you guys mentioning Price from the UK? We never had faith in his ability to step up, same with Audley, most here thought he'd be the first Olympian to not get the title.
Joshua isn't like those guys, he's a beast. As I say, thought past his prime, Sprott isn't an easy fight for any up and comer. Will be interesting, I personally think either Fury or Joshua has a legit shot at Klitchko if and when they get there. Both have the reach and ability to get past the jabs
Yes and he was getting this hype in the Olympics too. Like him alot and they're bringing him along nicely.
Fury wouldn't even have a good shot at fucking Deontay Wilder. Anthony Joshua will destroy both Wilder and Fury, in about three years.
wilder hits like a mule and comes forward and alwasy looks to finish. is an olympian himself. there is nothing joshua has done yet to suggest he would wreck wilder or fury.
true story. i was once waiting for a bus early in the morning and in the distance a noticeably tall and in-shape geezer was jogging towards me at a decent pace.
it crossed my mind that the guy was built like a brick shithouse and although I've done a bit of training, even if i knew he had no martial arts background, i would have been terrified to fight him.
so i was mulling over this manly failure when he got still closer - punch line - it was Anthony Joshua. a tower of muscle with real punching power.

anyway he said in three years he could wreck them lol, so within that, there is the assumption of future improvement, which cannot be detected now, due to the space/time fucking continuum
