Kind of goes along with the other two fan/fighter threads. What are some interesting experiences you've had? Does it ever get annoying to be constantly asked for pictures or autographs? There has to be days where it's overwhelming especially for the UFC fighters. Does it annoy you if a fan puts his arm around you? How about when they do the fist pose?

Any fighter response would be awesome but a response from Lauzon, Rogan, Dana, Creepy, Lawlor, or another UFC personality would be incredible.
I worked at a giant night club that held fights, where I had my first ammy fight in front of pretty much every peer I've ever had, from middle school up. Everyone at the club was my age, just turned twenty one so everyone was out drinking.
When I won via RNC, I stood and threw my mouthpiece into the crowd that was screaming and hollering. When I got dressed and came out of the back, it was weird watching almost everyone I've ever known high five me and buy me drinks and tell me how awesome the fight was. The club owner bought me drinks and I hung out in VIP shaking hands and being congratulated all night.
It was a really weird feeling, but I soaked it up.
Then I started sucking, so, ya know.
One night of glory is what matters yoshi
Cool story, Yoshi. I bet it was a rush.

No way, man. Please share.
I've only signed autographs for kids who were getting any autograph they could. I don't think that really counts for anything lol
But I have gotten a lot of free drinks and hooked up with some chicks who were way too hot for me. That part never gets old.

If a fan approaches you when you're dehydrated from cutting weight or focused on your fight, is it annoying in a way? Or still flattering?

The chicks, man.
Is it overt that they want to hook up? Are they asking lots of questions about being a fighter?
EDIT: Weird, post went in the wrong thread

Very cool. Thanks for the thoughts. It's really interesting to me from a fan's perspective.
I've taken a few pictures with fans after a fight. It's pretty damn cool for someone to come up and ask. I'm just a regular guy fighting in the small events so. The greatest thing to happen was wanderlei said he enjoyed watching my fight that night. It earned fight of the night.
Cool idea for a thread, subbed.

Look at it from the other side though, that 20 seconds you took to sign an autograph made some kids day/week and maybe even inspired him to train MMA and take time with the fans
1. I was in the cage before my fight started while the announcer was doing his thing and there was a kid who had been getting all the fighters autographs all night and I was co-main event and signed his booklet like everyone else had. While in the cage I hear him yell "Hey Nader!" and I look over and he goes "You suck!". lol. It was completely out of the the blue. When the fight started I was actually really pissed because it was embarassing because everybody nearby was laughing and the kid was eating it up and just kept yelling shit at me. I'm sure you know what I mean when a kid who isnt used to getting attention is suddenly getting it for a reason so they just keep doing whatever they're doing. I beat the shit out of my opponent in like a minute and a half and I have to say I was probably more aggressive due to that little kid. Afterwards on my way back to the locker room he stops me and asks if I would take a picture with him. I was dumbfounded.
2. I had a really tough fight with a bruiser and I lost by a split decision in his hometown. We were the main event and after I got situated in the locker room I was waiting for the people to empty out a bit because I was kind of pissed and didnt want to deal with anybody trying to console me, which I hate. I go out in the hall way between locker rooms and he's standing there, so its me and him alone in the hallway and we had just beaten the piss out of eachother. We chatted about the fight a bit and he told me about how bad his legs were fucked up from all my leg kicks and I told him the same. We had out pants pulled down so we could show eachother the damage. So there we are, 2 bruised and battered grown men standing in an empty hallway with our pants down at our ankles and we're inspecting eachothers thighs. Of course 2 ring girls walk around the corner as we're mid-inspection. Was pretty funny.
One reason I love mma?...That story above! Most of the fighters are down to earth guys makin a living doin what they love.
Green namers are cool as shit!
