Naderhood -1. I was in the cage before my fight started while the announcer was doing his thing and there was a kid who had been getting all the fighters autographs all night and I was co-main event and signed his booklet like everyone else had. While in the cage I hear him yell "Hey Nader!" and I look over and he goes "You suck!". lol. It was completely out of the the blue. When the fight started I was actually really pissed because it was embarassing because everybody nearby was laughing and the kid was eating it up and just kept yelling shit at me. I'm sure you know what I mean when a kid who isnt used to getting attention is suddenly getting it for a reason so they just keep doing whatever they're doing. I beat the shit out of my opponent in like a minute and a half and I have to say I was probably more aggressive due to that little kid. Afterwards on my way back to the locker room he stops me and asks if I would take a picture with him. I was dumbfounded.
2. I had a really tough fight with a bruiser and I lost by a split decision in his hometown. We were the main event and after I got situated in the locker room I was waiting for the people to empty out a bit because I was kind of pissed and didnt want to deal with anybody trying to console me, which I hate. I go out in the hall way between locker rooms and he's standing there, so its me and him alone in the hallway and we had just beaten the piss out of eachother. We chatted about the fight a bit and he told me about how bad his legs were fucked up from all my leg kicks and I told him the same. We had out pants pulled down so we could show eachother the damage. So there we are, 2 bruised and battered grown men standing in an empty hallway with our pants down at our ankles and we're inspecting eachothers thighs. Of course 2 ring girls walk around the corner as we're mid-inspection. Was pretty funny.
Did you say "Fuck your mother" to the kid when he tried to get a photo?
Not a pro but my 1st amateur fight was at Mohegan sun casino. I lost the fight but as I'm walking around the casino that night I had a few people stop me for pictures. I had a few people that stopped me for autographs including 2 girls with at least DD's that wanted their boobs signed ( didn't happen I was with my wife lol.) It was cool and surreal at the same time. The only thing going through my head the whole time is " You realize I lost right?"
I tried this a year or 2 ago and got crickets lol. Ur thread is already infinitely better. Cheers and in!
TheOneDylanThomas -Crush Crawfish - I've only signed autographs for kids who were getting any autograph they could. I don't think that really counts for anything lol
But I have gotten a lot of free drinks and hooked up with some chicks who were way too hot for me. That part never gets old.
The chicks, man.
Is it overt that they want to hook up? Are they asking lots of questions about being a fighter?
Mostly I think they just want a part of the attention, you know? But regardless of their motivation, I'll take it lol

You're just a piece of meat to them. Don't do it. ;)
TheOneDylanThomas - Kind of goes along with the other two fan/fighter threads. What are some interesting experiences you've had? Does it ever get annoying to be constantly asked for pictures or autographs? There has to be days where it's overwhelming especially for the UFC fighters. Does it annoy you if a fan puts his arm around you? How about when they do the fist pose?

Any fighter response would be awesome but a response from Lauzon, Rogan, Dana, Creepy, Lawlor, or another UFC personality would be incredible.
I will answer the questions you asked:
1. I am pretty sure that when we were just in Sweden some guys were trying to pick us up. Me, Chris, and my BJJ coach Tim Burrill were hanging out with them all night before I noticed one of the guys was wearing a "I love Polish Boys" shirt. Luckily, I'm not Polish.
2. No. It is more surprising still to me than anything.
3. I like when fans reach around me.
4. I just imagine it as the rubber fist from Borat and have a laugh.

Awesome. I wonder what did your wife think about the newfound fame? Not just the DD's. I imagine she wasn't thrilled about that, ha.

Thanks for responding, man. Very cool. How often do you get recognized or approached by fans? I can tell your response is genuinely humble. How do you not get tge big head about it all every now and then though?
Any fighter walk out to the song they personally picked and thought, why did I choose this song?

At fight events I get recognized a lot actually. UFC shows, local shows, etc. Doing everyday activities? Rarely. I get a LOT of people asking if I wrestled or do MMA though. Probably 1 day at least if I am out doing something.
It is easy to not get a big head when you realize that you likely can't do most of the jobs that people are out there doing everyday. Throw me into a 9-5 and my head would explode, put me behind the wheels of a bus and I will undoubtedly hit something or miss some stops. It is a job just like most people have, except I am on tv and people think you are a millionaire because of it.

I hope you told that little kid to play in traffic when he asked for a photo.
I got a love letter a week after I fought on TV. It was kind of creepy, some woman in Michigan wanted a poster for her shrine in her barn and commented that I had a Hercalean Figure and she was fascinated by my Jesus-Warrior like look. She sent it to the gym I trained at, all the guys got a good laugh out of it.

Ha. Thanks for commenting. Great record, btw.
Luke Cuckhold - Any fighter walk out to the song they personally picked and thought, why did I choose this song?
I was going to walk out to "Stinkfist" by Tool and some how in about a 45 minute period the Dj lost my CD. He decides "Here comes the boom" by DMX would be a good replacement. Fucked my whole vibe up
My 7th pro fight was my first time fighting in my hometown. Family, friends, coworkers, seems like everyone I knew was there. I was the main event and nervous as shit, almost all my friends won their fights so I felt a ton of pressure.
I won by KO from a slam/power bomb in the first round. I'm a personal trainer and one of my clients rented a limo for the night so I showed up to the after party in style looking like ric flair or something. The after party was friends and random people congratulating me and buying me drinks all night. Also hooked up w/ one of my co workers that I invited to the fight.
Some people get pretty annoyed of it, i don't mind pictures or autographs anytime.
No it doesn't annoy me if they do fist pose or put there arm around me for a picture.
i have some pretty creepy fans so ive been asked some weird shit haha i dont care though i love the fans. with my nickname i pretty much asked for the creepy fans to be unleashed though and i enjoy them all :)

First fight in your hometown and you won by KO slam in the first. Geez. Couldn't have scripted it any better. How were your nerves going into the fight?
