Any Non-GSP Fans Here That Actually Think He Won?

And if so, how?

I'm not a gsp fan but ima also def not a hater.
I'm a hendricks fan and desperately wanted him to win.
That being said, I gave gsp 1, 3, 5 Phone Post 3.0

I could see it going 1/3/5 for gsp or 1/2/4 for hendro.. Not a fan of either guy Phone Post 3.0

agreed 1 is def arguable either way, I don't know why there is so much controversy, close fight that most ppl thot came down to one round, they're going to fight again why can't the ug just leave it at that, no one got robbed Phone Post 3.0

Me. I know that I sound like one since Saturday. But what can I say, IMO any ww who had to deal with that version of Hendrix on that night would've been KTFO... GSP hung in there and kept his composure and was brilliant in being able to out strike and out takedown the man that nearly decapitated him in the 2nd round.

Any way I was never a fan of GSP. I've been rooting against him since he fought Dan Hardy. I've wanted to see someone beet him for so long. But yes he won. He barely won, but he won and I give him so much props for hanging in there and persevering to get the win when most would've been broken and clinging for dear life.

I agree.. Horrendous bullshit went on after the fight. Not cool. I respect both men. Phone Post 3.0

I'd be fine with it being a draw or either guy winning came down to the 1st for me which was an insanely close round Phone Post 3.0

Most close fights come down to who you wanted to win. People score on emotion.

I heard some people saying Hendricks lost the Condit fight. I rewatched that fight and cant see how its not 2-1 for Hendricks.

This

If it really does come down to Rnd 1. GSP takes it.

1/3/5

I had to watch if for a second time and score round by round instead of just sit and watch and be entertained.

Rogan really does sway your emotions

No one will convince me that, after the final bell sounded, they didn't have it for Hendricks. All this analysis after repeated views is great, but after the horn sounded at the end of round five all these cunts had it for Hendricks save the blindest of ball grabbers. Phone Post 3.0

Seriously, I think a lot of this complaining is that his fans wanted Hendricks to win so badly that when he did okay in the first round they immediately thought he won it. Then he was so dominant in round 2 that they had him up by 2 rounds on the scorecards. They begrudgingly gave GSP the 3rd and then Hendricks came out strong in the 4th and easily won that round. So a lot of Hendricks's fans had him going into the fifth round up 3-1 on the cards without a doubt in their mind. He didn't put in a lot of work in the 5th round and if you looked at GSP's face, the damage might have swayed some people but the honest truth is that Georges did more to win that round.

I had GSP up after one round and had him winning the 3rd and the 5th. Was the first round close? Absolutely, I just thought Georges did a little bit better so I scored the round for him. Phone Post 3.0

Round 1 was Hendricks. 100%. Gsp came out hard with the jab and duck takedown but Hendricks wobbled him with that uppercut on the second TD defense and then fed him some nasty elbows defending off the cage.

To top it off he also took gsp down.

First round was Hendricks, everyone including firas knew it.

Gsps game plan was to let him swing hard in the first 2 and maybe drop the rounds so that gsp can look dominant and impressive later on like usual, but Hendricks had some gas in the tank and kept coming forward which gsp usually reacts to with a TD, but he kept getting kneed when he tried Phone Post

You are delusional if you I think that Hendricks won the first round 100% without any question. That was the definition of a close round. They both did enough to win it I just happen to think that Georges did a little bit more. But even saying that I'm not a 100% convinced that he won that round. There can be arguments made for either guy. Phone Post 3.0

Same, with everything. Phone Post

Interesting posts so far.

I had Hendricks winning (48-47) but I would only consider it a mild robbery. People need to keep in mind that we're essentially only arguing over the scoring of a single round. A good 90% of people seem to agree on the 2nd thru 5th rounds.

yes. watching live i didn't think george won any round except 3.

rewatched it twice now and i give gsp 2, 3, and 5 definitely. i really don't get how anybody is giving him round 1. he was outstruck in total strikes, significant strikes, taken down, and had takedowns defended. but in any case - yes. george won and i didn't even think it was close watching it live.

Are you mixing up round 1 and 2? Round 2 was where he was wobbled

To be honest, when I watched the fight I had no idea how it would go with the judges, I expected a draw or some controversy. It was not OBVIOUS to me who won that fight, sure GSP's face was busted up, but he often get bruises like that after close fights.
