ASU drops mens Wrestling

Welcome to socialism amerika.

Make sure everyone runs out and votes for the most socialist candidate this country has every had run in the coming election as well, so we can have an even stronger collective.....

Wrestling is far from the last thing to be destroyed. The death of individualism is the goal.

Jfrank... Judo is under the IJF. Wrestling is under FILA.

the only reason why USA Wrestling are able to have other styles included is becuase none of them are an Olympic Event. If any of those were in the Olympics (outside of Beach Wrestling), then USA Wrestling would have to drop it and allow for USA Sambo to be formed as an indivdual National Governing Body-- or so the USOC would be forced to try to make them do that in accordance with the Ted Steven's Sport Act of 1972.

If not, USA Judo would have one hell of a lawsuit on it's hands against USA Wrestling for infringment seeing how Sambo's historical background is actually Judo and not wrestling and the reason why USA Judo did not adapt Sambo was the Ted Stevens Sport Act of 1972....

it can be a very messy thing..

but, the combined trials is a very good thing.. and i also think that USA Judo would be better today if the TSSAof1972 never passed.

LOL at all of the geeks crying about Title IX when this doesnt appear to have anything to do with title IX. Guys, mommy had to take you off her titty at some point, you cant hate woman your whole life because of it. Besides, the other first graders were jelous.

What about the womens jello wrestling division?

QTyp - Didn't Kid Yamamoto and Drew Fickett also do ASU wrestling?

I don't know about Fickett, but Kid went to high school (not college) in Arizona. He may have trained with the ASU team while there, though.

ASU Wrestling was also the home of Sunkist Kids so that may be the tie in. Guys like Jesse Forbes trained their but was not on the team.
