wrestlingsucks,

"Hearns, Hagler, Duran...hardly able to form sentences (assuming Duran is still alive or ever could...in english)"

What utter horse shit. Why would you post that? What you're doing is remembering hearing Hearns, deciding he has dementia pugilistica and assuming Hagler and Duran are the same, which is not true.

"Neither have the heart of a Duran or Hearns. They were fighters who boxed. Floyd and DLH didn't fight....they boxed."

I wish people wouldn't equate 'boxing' with 'avoiding contact and not taking risks'. It's just not true. A great example of an extremely technically sound boxer who would tear your ass apart is Ike Williams.

'Avoiding action' is not synonymous with 'boxing'.

FingerorMoon,

"He stalked PBF the entire fight. What was he supposed to do, put his hands at his waist and close his eyes to try and get Floyd to actually fight ?"

This is another popular myth DLH tried to spin. The fact was he, for most of the fight, crept comfortably towards PBF and stayed covered up to avoid taking punches, throwing just enough flurries with PBF against the ropes so as not to, quite literally, refuse to throw a single punch in a given round.
