“A wrestler won’t be able to take me down and give me a hard time. I came from jiu-jitsu,” said Belfort, who also revealed the cost of such confidence. “I had seven trainers working with me during the last three months. I spent around $100,000 with them.”
“They decided to award Barboza with the best knockout and best fight of the night,” Belfort explained. “I think I deserved at least the best fight, but the problem is that they would have to reward Johnson, too, and Dana is really mad at him.”
Belfort’s showdown with Wanderlei Silva is expected to take place in June. The bout will be a rematch of the pair’s 1998 confrontation in which Belfort steamrolled the future Pride Fighting Championships star in just 44 seconds.
“If [Silva] keeps the old style, I’ll break him up again,” Belfort said. “Wanderlei doesn’t have the chin to exchange punches with me anymore. Tell him to change his game, or it will be a knockout again.”

^ you have no idea what you are talking about. No one knows what their discretionary bonuses are and no one knows how much a guy makes for a ppv bonus. Vitor is almost assuredly getting a ppv bonus. If he is getting a standard 2 dollars per buy that's going to be a 750-1,000,000 payout(besides the money Zuffa likely gave him for agreeing to fight Rumble on short notice). For a guy who's not a champ and who isn't a ppv draw that's perfectly fine.
Btw if fighters want more money than fight for it. Jesus it amazes me that people act like Zuffa should just hand them more money when the market doesn't dictate it. It's up to no one but the fighters to unionize.
It's almost as stupid as when someone compares the Ufc salaries to NFL salaries. Anyone using facts from the outside the lines piece should never be able to argue again. That piece was complete shit.
$100K is a lot for one man to shoulder per training camp. No matter what he makes. He still has to pay taxes. In Brazil a $1Million Dollars is taxed at a rate of 27.5%.
So "if" he made $1 Million, he actually netted $725,000 minus $100,000 sparring partners. Then subtract "whatever" for his coach salaries, mainstay sparring partners, gym assistants, personal assistant (probably a family member), equipment needs, food and water on training days, etc. No one really knows, but I'd figure he still walked away with $600,000 - "if" you're "Million with PPV cut" is accurate.
Bottom line. They get paid. And they pay out a lot. If they are on the undercard, they certainly get paid much much less and pay out a disproportionate amount because some expenses are fixed/unmovable.
I don't get why people get angry when others are dissatisfied with what fighters get? None of you are upset when someone you care about says "you should be earning more". You say "you know what, you're right." Lighten up or at best, let people have their opinions. Dana doesn't give a fuck about anyone you, on either side of the discussion. lol
thats what lorenzo said ,i hope he knows what he talking about,if the man says he paid 250 million out then i gotta say it true.but you can put a # out if you want

agreed.
That number might even be inflated like his claim that the UFC pays close to 60% of it's revenue to the fighters.
a quarter of a billion (considering they have made 39 millionaires, if that is accurate) is not that much if you break that up over 90 cards since 2005..
>nobody should pay 100.000 bucks for a camp when you have camps like american top team that only charge 5%
>on the other hand though he made his trainers a nice amount of money too, but me personally i would rather save every cent possible knowing that i'd have to retire at around the age of 40
Allowing steroids turns the sport into a comple joke.
Then you get into a financial war in terms of who can buy the best performance enhancers. So, fuck that too.
Steroids in my opinion are good for sports especially baseball, if only they didn't have this taboo they gained in the 80's, people don't die from steroids like its made to be seen, look at good ole governor Arnold he's not dead.
