f4wonline.com/component/cont... Bellator PPV buy rate estimate according to @davemeltzerWON is 65,000. Wonder what @MMASupremacy makes of this.. Phone Post 3.0

I would think they would have to consider this somewhat of a success honestly... Phone Post 3.0

Yeah they still lost money but thats not too bad of a buy rate. Hopefully just crappy enough for them not to do another ppv Phone Post 3.0

Epwar... You should have bet me! And no this is still very bad. Lol. If the ufc ever sold 65k the world would be ending around here. All this ppv did was proved that Bellator can not make money for Viacom. They have failed at everything from shoulder programing to ppv and exausted all avenues of revenue with Bellator and nothing has had positive results.

They know now they are a regional promotion at best.

Damn, it got shilly in here real quick.

First they aren the UFC so you can't compare them.

Secondly this was their first PPV. What did you expect? Phone Post 3.0

Lol @ this idiot.

65k, for Bellator's first PPV with Alvarez injured, is a success.

Weren't you one of the shills predicting 10-20k?

Hendo vs Rashad did 150k.

Two names.

Barao vs Faber I did 140K.

P4P guy vs name in Faber.

I'd say with a no name card featuring only Tito and Rampage that it's not bad to do 65K.

Barao vs Dillashaw will likely have done 150K.

We aren't exactly doing Brock numbers in UFC today as Jonny Bones did 350K and Ronda has to be paired with Weidman in hopes of popping a buy rate in July. Phone Post 3.0

65k buys is garbage.

Better than I thought to be honest, the word is that 50k would mean they broke even, so they made a little profit off of a card that had the rug pulled from under it with Eddie getting injured.

I suspect we'll probably see another PPV card before the end of the year, with numbers like that I'll be shocked if Spike doesn't push for it.

65k is ok for them, right around where they needed to be to make money, might have lost some but its not a disaster.  Its not great, its where most expected.

They either broke even, lost some money or just made some money, thats all that really matters, the number they needed to hit to make money.

Im kind of a bellator hater, but that sounds like a pretty decent number to me. Ppv is a tough business, props to them for pulling off their first event. Phone Post 3.0

Pretty good #'s for their first event, IMO. The UFC wasn't exactly killing the PPV's when they first started either. Bellator just needs to keep plugging away.

So you're basically admitting you pulled that 50,000 number out of your ass just like I said you were?

No at the time that was the projected number... It was wrong obviously as are most projections the day after but I wasn't going to retract the offer I made. I made an offer and stuck to it. You tucked your tail and ran.

Yawn.

All this hate for MMA besides the UFC is getting old. I wish success on anyone who is willing to risk their time and money to present a different product than just the ufc. Shame on you for being part of the problem. Phone Post 3.0

You obviously don't read my posts in support of wsof, m1, bamma, ONEFC, legend, Titan, rfa or invicta... Not to mention all the local shows I attend and there is one at a martial arts convention in the Poconos in a month that I will be attending that a friend of mine owns. If anyone is in pa and would like info on the event let me know.

You were dead wrong. You should make an apology thread. Phone Post 3.0

Apparently, Eddie's next fight has to be on PPV according his settlement with Bellator. So we'll definitely see another PPV this fall. Maybe they try Rampage-Tito again.

You are more likely to see Viacom pay eddie a shit ton of money to put the fight on spike. If they are paying tito and rampage what is rumored, ppv is not a viable option. That's all this ppv proved.
