He has fought 15 times in the UFC, and only lost 3 of them. (2 of them close decisions) - I think he's earned a decent paycheck.
I'm not so much for Bisping as a person - he's a bit too cocky - but he's certainly earned a decent paycheck for sure. Never in a dull fight.

when a guy like Shogun gets $165,000 for his EPIC, LEGENDARY fight w/ Hendo, Hendo himself gets $250,000 for WINNING the SHogun fight...

superCalo - Alot of folk don't seem to realise that the uFc is a business, its owned by a private company called zuffa, its main aim is to return value and funds to its shareholders.
Its not some charitable kind of sporting organisation that pays some guys more because they are such great guys and pays others less because they say dickish things.
It pays according to performance, not performance in the octagon but performance as far as a business is concerned, money.
Bisping earns the uFc more than he gets paid and is rewarded for it, everything he breathes think of the reacation he gets on here for example and all ovver the net, he creates controversy, he creates interest, people will pay to see him, win or more likely pay to see him lose. They will talk about him, he raises the profile of the sport because hes so accessable and appeals to a international market be that postivly or negativly - it dosen't matter.
You can be a nice guy all you want & win against top competition but if you will only be paid according to the value you return to the shareholders, thats why Bisping will continue to be paid well regardless of who he beats be they top 50 or top 10, be it a win or a loss.

"lets have a coach on the next seaqson that will draw in the most viewers in the programmes history.. somene who 50% of people love with a passion... and the other 50% hate with a passion.. both sets will tune in every single week for different reasons.. then only ONE name can possibly come up "Michael Bisping"... done deal.... but wait they need another coach, someone who can represent the bisping haters... who can give him some back chat, who can put him in his place.... cheal sonnen!!! no we need him for our massive money fight with Anderson..... ok Henderson!! no we did that one already.... $16 K hardly covers living and training expenses for the 3 to 4 months it takes to train and recover for a fight especially if you have a family? At least where I am from!

he exists because of the American audience , not the UK audience , he got famous from being in a US reality TV show that no one in the UK has heard of ... even to this day .
I'm guessing about 1% of the UK know who Bisping is compared to a solid 20% in the US .
