CAWA Team Trials and International Event: Aug 8-9

Hello all,

The time is ticking. Make sure you look at the registration brochures as there is a preliminary entry request. It would be great to know a head of time what teams are coming and how many you will be bringing.

I will have some major announcements in the next few days on special aspects.

Will do.

If all works out Clint there will be a really good announcement :)

Is this an open tournament, or do you have to place at another tournament to attend here?

Sounds like the wrestlers want to be jiu-jitsu fighters. Why not try jiu-jitsu. I know its work but just an idea.

thats a good point Wow, wrestlers could learn a thing or two about work ethic from jiu jitsu players.

lol

You know, I'm just not going to bother responding to these people any more. They obviously have their minds made up.

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasim.

Wrestling is a bully sport and the workouts that go with it are the toughest I have been thru.MMA is the other that compares.

BJJ to me is more about technique and smooth rolling. Not easy but not at the intensity level of a wrestling practice.

Right now in my condition they both kill me.

I also have alot of respect for both.

@rorymcd - sorry, i didnt catch the sarcasm.

@deafwoody - you hit it dead on. To be good at either you need to be an impressive athelte.
Jits requires mostly skill + instinct
Wrestling requires mostly athleticism + instinct

At high level of any sport the instinctual/creative component that is the part that really impresses

HI Captain Awesome, the events are open...you can compete no matter what....if you do win the provincials I believe the host of the provincials will pay your way.

Best to contact them...I am the host for the world team trials and KCG International.
so questions can come to me on that.
thanks
