For the August 8th team trials...
Can anyone shed some light as to whether we need to pre-register or can we just show up August 7th at the weigh-ins and register there?

The KCG Grappling International is going well.
Many competitor Teams did not register in both events, but seemed like they will. I will have better numbers later.
Pass on that athletes can still reg, but will pay the late fee.
Finally coaches need to come during final registration to comfirm their teams and pay the fees.
fees include: entrance fees and membership to province if not gotten yet.
I will update the numbers later.

cool! so are these the pre-reg numbers for just the world trials or does this include both so far?
also, if there is only 1 person at 50kg womens, does that mean she will end up fighting 55kg?

there will be final numbers up tomorrow regarding total pre-reg. the ones listed are only for World team trials, the KCG I assume is good, but many did not really state if they were competing in both so we may not know until the event final reg for the KCG International.
but we do have some Peru, Algerian and USA athletes as well as some Brazilians from the USA

Are the trials for Canadians only, or is it an open tournament?
The Trials are for Canadian citizens only. The KCG International is open.
And as far as the Trials go, we have to send people in a weight division, so if there's one girl in a division then she'll win the division and get the opportunity to go to Florida. Hopefully we'll get some last minute registrants.
Personally, I'm thrilled that there will be at least three women in my division! When you can fill a podium that's a good day in women's competition. :)
Are athletes required to wear a cup, mouth guard, and rash guard? Are board shorts the only allowable type of shorts?
