Chavous 'Chocolate Thunda' Smith scored another impressive submission win via arm-in guillotine.(and they say its the hardest version.)The stand-up was all Chavous. Although he did get a tad sloppy and crowded his punches a little to much. But eventually the guy decided to try and take it to the ground where Chocolate Thunda cinched up the neck for the win. He had it locked on for quiet awhile. I was warning him not to gas his arms, and as soon as i yelled "hook throw, sweep, hook throw" the guy tapped out. Congrat on your win Cha!!! Proud of you!!
congrats to the black kid on the poster!
yea the guy wanted to clinch up a lot so i was working a lot of hooks and uppercuts changing levels body to head and so on. but yea he didn't want to stand after being beat in the striking so he shot for a double right when i was going to sprawl i felt that i had the guillotine so i went for the sub. he fought it for awhile then i heard shane screaming to switch to sweep but as i heard him screaming that my opponent began to start making gargle and choking sounds and i knew i had it. but much love to shane garrett he is an awesome instructor and i owe a lot of what i know to him.
but he is also a Bud Ice Light drinking girly man
I wonder if the commission let Marvin babe fight with that jacked up toe.
Babe fought and lost to Jesse Clark of ACA, Via Von-Flue choke after getting tagged and dropped. It was a quick fight, and I love that Jesse got the tap from a choke I was the first to show him. I can't stand Marvin.
I hate everyone with the name Marvin
The only good thing about people named Marvin is that at least they're not named Eugene.
shane, what is your deal with marvin anyways? i know you say he backed out of a fight with you, but he was never even told of it. i turned that fight down the second it was offered. why you would want to fight a guy like him is beyond me. hes tough and tries hard but is not in your league. cmon, you tried out for pride fc. i just dont understand, what were you just looking for a gift win when you called him out after his pro debut?
Absolutely not!!! I reffed one of Marvin's fights for FCF @FireLake. After the fight he confronted me during an intermission, while I was talking to my wife. He interuptted us asking "Why did you stop my fight." In a very agressive tone. I gave him my explanation and he just kinda stared at me blankly for a moment. I was talking slowly and didn't use any big words, not sure why he didn't respond. I turned my back to him and carried on with my conversation, which he had interuptted very impolitely. He then grabs me by the shoulder pulling me to face him, as I am seated and says "No, I wanna know why you stopped my fucking fight." This was not polite or nice in any manner. It was very aggressive and had we been anywhere else it woulda got his ass knocked out right then, fortunately commision members and securtiy where there and snatched him up quick like, before either of us got ourselves in trouble. This altercation is what led to me wanting a fight with Marvin.
And then saturday while he is supposed to be prepping for his fight with Jesse he is staring at me and making comments. Which I was ignoring until I had to pass right by him and he asked if "I was the ref and if I had tried to get a fight with him." I replied "Yep, I don't really care for you too much." and kept walking. From that moment on, he kept popping off outta his cock holster every chance he got. Hell as Jesse was walking out that idiot was mean mugging me. He is the one with a problem. I was more than happy to do it in the cage, for whatever reason it didn't happpen. Now he is popping of telling me to tell Miss D and we can do it, this that and the other. I suggest as his manager you advise him against it again. Marvin and I will never see eye to eye and I couldn't care less for him.
Hell if it was his record you were worried about we could have did an exhibition. Exhibit A-Marvin getting his ass kicked for the full 3 rounds, if he had taken the fight.
Mepaqehe - The only good thing about people named Marvin is that at least they're not named Eugene.
real talk, true story!!!
I hear the kancho assassin will throw down even if the ground is slippery!
So let me make this clear. My wanting to fight Marvin has nothing to do with my MMA record/career etc. It was completely personal and remains as such. Fighting in the cage was simply the most professional way to solve it.
You got a problem? Yo I'll solve it, check out the hook while my DJ revolves it.

is this Marvin guy a colored man?
^^^ straight up G!
Yes Marv, he is colored white.
I met the Chocolate Thunda on Saturday. Seems like a good kid!
He is a very good kid, very humble, almost always smiling and puts in the work. He does anything and everything asked of him. Alot of guys wanna talk it, but few are willing to walk it, myself included. Fortunatley, for the guys I train, I expect more of them, than I did of myself. I look forward to watching Chavous grow as a man, fighter, and grappler. I am glad he has faith in me and his boxing coach Jerome Yazzie, makes the job alot easier. Congrats again Cha!!!
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THOSE "FIGHTERS" WHO STILL THINK INTIMIDATION TACTICS ARE MORE VALUABLE THAN ACTUAL SKILL. YEAH YEAH, LOOK TOUGH, TALK TOUGH, JUICE UP, TALK ALOT OF SHIT....THOSE ARE THE TYPES THAT BREAK WHEN THEY GET WHOOPED. HAD I BEEN YOU , SHANE, I WOULD HAVE SAID, "OK..YOU AND ME GO TO A NEUTRAL LOCATION, ALONE, AND SETTLE IT." MY GUESS IS HE WOULD NOT MEET YOU ANYWHERE ALONE.
