Steve Superkick Vick was an incredible talent, an incredible kicker but more efficient boxing than a fighter similar in kicking talent Sirkan Yilmaz of K1 Max days.

Being the WKA and Vick retiring early 90s I am guessing this is late 80s … if not 90s but regardless Vick was incredibly gifted and helped inspire John Wayne Parr.

Manson Gibson had a very unorthodox style similar to Raymond Daniels and Emanuel Augustus lol he really mixed it up.

He mixed it up just aswell as those fighters mentioned do/did in their game. Manson was a very unique fighter …have you by chance smoked rock with Manson?

I’ve never seen anyone take so many leg kicks without dropping.

People knock him but I reckon he gave the hardest stylistic challenge to Ernesto Hoost. He also beat Changpeuk by KO.

I was a big fan of the dog back in the day. It takes a real badass to not only be a dog, but a dragon, too.

UFC 1 always left me wondering if Kevin Rosier ever looked good in the ring. He was such a pile of shit in his fight.

From that other old fight video, I guess it answers my question. WTF was he ever doing in the ring?
Fights like a bouncer who has just been given a night’s instruction on how to kick and still can’t do it.

What a slob.

Rosier wasn’t the most technical by any means but was tough and proved to give many of his opponents difficulty with his big power, improper technique and aggression. Higher opposition would likely weather a storm to turn around and take Rosier out whose fight IQ was always absent more or less.

While lesser opposition folded and he did step into that ring a hell of a lot of times and knocked out a lot of guys.

I was rewatching the early UFC’s again last week, and had saw he returned at UFC 4 and was dropped by Joe Charles, the judo guy. My copy didn’t have the alternate fights, but it seems Joe Charles uploaded it to his own youtube channel.

Joe Charles dresses like an african king at all times, gotta respect that.

Known for going 2-1 with Ramon Dekker, Gilbert was tough and liked to compete in these PKA style above the waist also.

A very entertaining Alexio highlight with dope music.

The footage at the beginning was very cool how they displayed the fighter and their stats it’s very clearly a sign of the times, retro as hell but kudos to the PKA/ISKA for having doing that for a period of their existence it’s cool to see.

The guy Gilbert was fighting is famous in German martial arts. Here he is schooling a lad on the proper etiquette in a German pub.

Ross Scott reminds me of a slimmer Kevin Rosier in a sense just a awkward, relentless tough guy with sub par fight IQ but the aggression , toughness and awkwardness in technique to actually keep coming forward, press people down and catch them clean with awkward angles punches.

Also that Jeff Smith KO was executed well the style these karate kickboxers have with the above waist kicks is nice to see legs being used like jabs so often though sometimes they look a bit dinky lol.
