Either way that should be the UFC 300 main event. Either Diaz against Cormier… Open Weight of course since they’re the ones calling for it. And Dana should absolutely still be looking for a nobody would expect-blow your mind type fight after all the talk.

Meh, Cormier was a cheater and a fraud. Only won the belt at heavyweight because he nearly poked Stipes eye out right before the ko and only won the LHW belt because Jones got stripped. He cheated to make the weight and his test levels were way elevated. Fuck that guy.

People forget what a stone cold killer DC was because of his friendly affable personality. The guy is 100% dad energy now smiling behind the camera on the broadcast team.
In his prime you could arguably put DC against any fighter in history and pick him to win. DC would have mopped the floor with prime Fedor and the Pride crew, been a ufc champ in any era.
Nate and Nick have been bitter and talking shit on wrestlers ever since Nick had his Diego / Riggs / Sherk set of wrestlefuck losses.
But yet Nate got noise for PEDs and DC hasn’t…

But let’s also not pretend Nate beating 7-0 undefeated McTapper wasn’t a huge win at the time. More people watched Nate beat Conor than any of DC’s fights. Nate was a true LW while conman was a massive FW so it’s not like it was a weight bully win
The mma world, casuals or not, will remember Nate and his fights more than any of DC’s fights
