Hate to give Dana props, but he was dead on for almost the entirety of that video especially with Mazzagatti rant.

LOL he sure has a hardon against Mazzagatti.

I'm not sure I agree that Steve wasn't doing his job in the Fitch fight.  An arm-in guillotine from the half guard is a pretty low percentage move.  And Fitch was out pretty fast.  I suspect in a few more seconds mazzagatti would have lifted his arms to see if he was limp and stopped the fight.  I watched the fight again, and there was nothing that indicated Fitch was out before Burkman rolled him and stood up.  And if Steve would have stopped it that quick with no indication and Fitch would have popped up immediately asking why he stopped it, then he would have gotten even more heat.

Those scrums are fun. Phone Post 3.0

Anthony Johnson from cageside realised Fitch was out, Mazzagati was not even close to see what is going on.

Couple good points, but he was still in a bad position to see it.

Agree though on the tough position to finish an arm in and it being Fitch. Fitch even still has his legs under him; even admitted trying to do a lift and failing. Phone Post

Damn he put nelson on BLAST. Completely agree w dana, as usual. Phone Post 3.0

Dana hit every point against Nelson perfectly.

Burger King part was hilarious

Dana is right on about Nelson, he's talking very little fake shit, just saying what dozens of people here say all the time: that Nelson would be much better if he worked his cardio, dropped a little weight, etc. It's ridiculous that some think Dana sits around thinking about how to screw Nelson. He is a successful guy, he has better things to do with his time and his business than that.

On Mazzagatti, the problem wasn't that he let the fight go long, because he had nothing to do with the end. That's the problem. He wasn't close, he was not ready, and if Burkman hadn't stopped it who knows what could've happened.

So, what was Nelson's new contract worth?

Dana's dead on about Mazzagatti being totally disengaged at times.

Look at the way that he was acting during Edwards/Thompson.

A dude gets drop kicked in the head, and he doesn't even bother to break the stride of his casual stroll around the octagon.

Yup, the same casual stroll he took over to Jon Fitch as Burkmann was already stood up.

lol maybe Steve just has really slow reflexes.

"White then related an experience from the past where Nelson approach UFC VP for Talent Relations Joe Silva and said his TUF contract was not lucrative enough. Silva offered him a new contract, with a higher pay scale, but as explained by White, it was not enough, so Nelson refused it, and stayed with his original and lower contract."

Very interesting.

So Roy chose to stick with his crappy TUF contract as well as choosing not to re-sign before this fight. I have a feeling he is going to regret those decisions.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if Spike/Viacom want to break the bank to sign the champion from the highest rated season of TUF. Say what you will about his physique or this recent loss, Spike seems to really be interested in grabbing up guys who are familiar to SpikeTV viewers, and Roy certainly fits that bill as the guy who beat Kimbo Slice.

Ok I agree with a lot of Dana points but the whole calling him a dumbass pretty much over and over seems rather petty IMO.

Wasn't Roy a teacher and or worked in child development or some such shit? I have Roy over DFW in a spelling bee lol.

Dana is always spot on. What other leader of a billion dollar sports coropration keeps it real like that and offers so much candid questions.

I love the part where he calls out Ariel on his asinine questions.
