orcus - It's hilarious that you're implying that Overeem must have done something right because the judges -- MMA's infamous judges -- gave him the win.
Fightmetric in fact has Werdum winning under both the 10-point must system AND their own system, and -- unsurprisingly -- also landing more strikes (both significant and otherwise) than Overeem: What do you make of that?
Well.. the only comment for Reem vs. Werdum was Reem was the aggressor, and Werdum's butt flopping didn't sit well with the judges I suppose. Some people will have an opinion that Reem won that fight because of how it happened. Werdum avoided the fight at times and didn't do anything engaging to draw Reem into his gameplan (bjj) SO.. Sanchez vs Gomi has NOTHING to do with Reem vs. Werdum They treated two takedowns in the first as the game winner. When in fact Sanchez didn't win the 2nd or 3rd.

You're right, it has nothing to do with Reem/Werdum, however it highlights that the OP is now exhibiting a habit of using fightmetric to score a fight.
I'm sure once I watch I won't have Diego Sanchez winning, I'm just saying don't use a website with flawed judging and statistics(significant strikes is subjective) for your argument.
MrMichaelz - So octagon control and damage are outweighed by takedowns/ta ?
if standup is even then yes.
But according to fight metric diego just won the first.
Gomi landed with damage and controlled the cage for most of the fight. He also dictated what happened. Diego had 40% success rate for his takedowns.. Judges should take that into consideration.
Stuffing a TD should mean more than it does now. Sure he got 2 but failed at 3. Gomi won the figh IMO. He controlled more, landed with damage and stuffed TD's.
You're right Orcus, no robbery aside from Gomi winning every round. Even if you give round 1 to Sanchez for two takedowns that led to nothing amidst backpedaling and being outstruck the rest of the round, Gomi still wins.
Just curious, does anyone know who the judges were over there. UFC usually flies some idiots from Las Vegas overseas for their offshore events. Anybody know who did the damage this time?

On MMAdecisions.com, it lists the judges as "Unknown". Hopefully they will update the page with the known judges soon
