Diego / Gomi fightmetric

I usually agree with orcus (and by that I mean more than 50% of the time). But I think you are way off on this one my friend. Gomi won that fight. No doubt Phone Post

if you thought Dirty Sanchez won, need to be punted in the cunt.

Get over it goofs. No robbery. Close fight and the commentary was ABSURDLY one-sided.

Are you going full retard perhaps? That score shows that gomi should have won 2 to 1

Diego has two takedowns in round 1 and gomi has more strikes but not by a lot

Rounds 2 an 3 gomi landed more strikes an dieo got no takedowns.. Phone Post

You guys obviously do not know the history of orcus. Let me give you all some insight.

Him, more than others, is EX-TREEEEEEMELY biased on certain subjects.

"Lol @ K1"

"Lol @ Pride"

"Lol Mark Hunt got knocked out by a middleweight"

"Fedor is SOOOOO overrated"

:BJ is Soooo overrated and his fans overhype him"

Orcus will not deny that he has created threads and or said things along those lines(or done things to insinuate it).

If you associate threads having to do with the above, and orcus is in them, seriously, pay him no mind.

Goomi won. It was the best Gomi I've seen since 2005. Sanchez did jack shit with his takedowns.

Btw I am a Sanchez fan also

To give Orcus the benefit of the doubt I think what he was saying was that it can't be a robbery when the stats are so close, not that Sanchez was a clear winner.

Gomi clearly won though. Phone Post

Robbery of the Year

Sanchez obviously won, he blocked most of Gomi's punch with his forehead....

I don't think the OP is saying Diego won the fight. The number of strikes were close between the two. The decision was clearly wrong, but not what he would call a "robbery". I'm not sure what else he could call it though, a "petty theft", a "light mugging"?

Diego Sanchez vs Nate Diaz sounds right!!

I got voted down for stating that I usually agree with orcus, or he voted me down for disagreeing with him this time lol. Can't win!

Gomi still won that fucking fight though assholes!! Phone Post

Bloody Pregnancy Fluids - Clean strikes and power matters.

Gomi didn't land many clean strikes.

It was a close fight. While Florian was busy jizzing over every whiffed punch from Gomi, Diego was landing.

No robbery here, strikes landed were close -- it's not like the judges count the punches like Fightmetric does and give the round to the guy who landed 3 more punches.

"Rounds 2 an 3 gomi landed more strikes an dieo got no takedowns.. Phone Post"

When you land 4 or 5 more inconsequential strikes over 5 minutes than your opponent, that's going to be even as far as a judge is concerned since, again, they are not literally counting punches.

I'm not saying Diego should have won, but going to the decision I didn't know who would get it, and knew it would be a split.

Calling it a robbery is just silly. Gomi looked better than usual and Diego looked worse than usual -- that doesn't mean Gomi wins.

i believe orcus just likes  to argue the opposite of the popular opinion

It was clearly 1st round diego 2&3 gomi I dont see how u can argu differently. Phone Post

Orcus, I usually like your posts, but stats like these cannot be used to judge a fight. Am I the only one that finds the increasing usage of these stats so disturbing? Why is Goldberg telling me the number of significant strikes in a round that was all fence clinches and groundwork? I would be fine to use it at face value, but people are actually trying to judge a fight with this crap, and sometimes it's not even accurate.

I'm not saying that you are wrong about the misplaced whining about this bout, but to judge a fight, you have to watch a fight, not look at numbers in a chart.

I think it came down to the 3rd round; Gomi wasn't hungry enough and gave it away by allowing it to be close. People are just upset because they know he can do better, and Diego with his frozen stance and poor timing is probably 1 good fighter away from retirement.

I gave every round to Gomi though I would not have been mad had it been 29-28 for Gomi, however, Diego winning is one of the worst robberies I've ever seen and the worst decision so far this year.

Gomi won that ! Phone Post

Takedowns only score points because you control the person on the ground.. What I'm baffled about is how Gomi controlled all the standup (90% of the fight) but that dosnt count for anything.. Phone Post

Umm op kills his own argument. Gomi clearly won that fight Phone Post
