UG needs to make an A$$hole Hall of Fame, and induct Fabia into the inaugural class.

retire; thanks for the great fights.

Agree.

The closest I could come to was it seems that Fabia was mainly concerned as to how he himself was being viewed on the internet and on live footage. If Diego withdrew to protect Fabia’s image, then it’s truly a shame.

Im still wondering why he withdrew from the fight.

His behavior at that production meeting was level 10 cringe. What a delusional retard. That, combined with the neurologist comments basically solidified the deal. More so the neurologist thing, as I doubt anyone within ufc takes Fabia seriously at all. I’m even impressed with the people in the production meeting’s professionalism for how long they sat through his idiotic, nonsensical tirade. I wholeheartedly believe they did so out of their respect for Diego.

Let’s say this is true. Who cares?

Diego has never been normal. He’s always been a bit eccentric. But this Fabia makes it worse. I really wanted to see him fight Cowboy.

Fascinated by this Fabia - how on earth did Diego meet this guy and think: «you know what? This is the guy I need to optimize my performance and close my career on a positive note».

I never
Met this Favia but man… literally everything that we get to see appears to confirm he is batshit crazy

That in-cage knife wielding for example…

Almost feel bad for Diego. It seems like he spent more time bouncing back and forth between trainers then his time spent fighting.

He was a warrior and always put on an exciting fight. It is a real shame when a fighter gets hooked or conned by people like Fabia. Dude did nothing for his game but Diego is a big boy and he should have been able to realize this guy was doing nothing for him while taking a chunk of his money. A real shame.

People like him and that dipshit Edmond are like parasites in this sport we love so much. Hopefully Diego has saved himself a nice nest egg. Unfortunately, not alot of fighters do.

Fabia or not, Diego would have been on the decline regardless.

Diego was a fighter best known for his heart, durability, grit, and grappling – most of which doesn’t tend to lend itself to career longevity. If anything, Fabia might have helped him prolong is career while training judo chops to the adrenal gland.

I second that emotion

By many accounts, while a good/nice guy, Diego is literally borderline retarded. Like just not smart.

For a guy who’s bled gallons inside the octagon for almost 20 years, he definitely deserved a better, more dignified send off. It’s unfortunate that he actually believes in this asshole.

Nothing, but clearly Diego is the one taking it in the ass, and that just doesn’t seem natural.
