My point is, Anthony Johnson can only fantasize about prressure pack fights or even how to pace himself in a 5 round championship fight. Jon Jones meanwhile lives there!
People speculate and hope, which nothing wrong with that, you hate the guy and would love to see him get served, but at least come with some logic. Belfort didn't walk thru Jon Jones. Neither did Rashad Evans or Daniel Cormier or even the previous Great White Hope, Alexander Guftafson.
It's not by coincidence that Jon Jones is universally acknowledged as the pound for pound King of MMA.
Because he has more than one flashy KO against a slow Swede, or an aging Brazilian star, or the quick reflex challenged Phil Davis. Jon Jones has KO's and pound outs, spinning elbows and guillotine choke outs in his wrecking path of destruction, and he will once again prove the Internet Warriors of the UG wrong, when Anthony Johnson gets exposed and served.
Blastadon - Rumble is the guy to beat Jones. mma math is stupid yet u cant ignore Gustaf having a super close fight with bones and rumble destroying him in 1 round.
I'd love to see AJ knock Jones cold, slowly walk to his corner, calmly get a gun, walk back to Jones with said gun, insert it into Jones mouth while the latter's deformed arms are hanging akimbo, and blast the top of his head off.
However, due to his fight intelligence and versatility, I think Bones will make a fool out of him.
Rashad was gonna expose how he got beat in practice.
Texeira was too heavy handed for him.
Cormier was gonna outgrind him.
Chael Sonnen, well ok everyone knew Sonnen would get handled.
A similar fight style wise was when Tyron Woodley fought Rory MacDonald. Woodley is like a lower weight version of Anthony Johnson, ferociously heavy handed strikers with superior boxing skills. Woodley was completely neutralzed by Rory MacDonald and could never get off his vaunted punching skille. MacDonald was no fool and did not stand toe to toe with Woodley to exchange punches, which for MacDonald would have been disaster.
Anthony Johnson's weakness (susceptiibility to the guillotine and questionable cardio to go deep) are some of Jon Jones strengths. At the top of the food chain, it's about numbers as much as it's mental. The more your logical paths to victory, the higher your chances of winning the fight.
No sane observer believes Anthony Johnson stands a decent chance of submitting Jon Jones. Jon Jones also had his toe broken and still fought on. He nearly had his arm snapped by Vitor Belfort and he did not quit or tap. He was battered and severely bruised by Alexander Guftason, but still found the heart in the bottom of the 5th to stage a furious rally that saved his title and left Guftason stumbling at the end of the fight.
He is the real deal despite all his flaws and missteps and one day MMA fans will realize what a spectacular talent we were fortunate to witness in his full and absolute prime.
Aikijiujitsu - Cormier landed the upper cut on Jones multiple times in the clinch its safe to say if Rumble lands the same shots it can be good night for Bones.

Could he KO jones? Sure. But it won't be an uppercut from the clinch because jones stays to close where you can't really generate full power in that short of a distance. LOL indeed. He got clipped flush on the chin in the middle of throwing a kick, yet he still kept his balance and avoided most of the rest of Machida's flurry.

Tyrone spong is back to training after breaking his leg. With him and Rumble sparing together, rumbles striking is going to look better than ever come fight night. Jones just seems too smart though. Will be an interesting fight.

I agree with you but glover rocked jones in their fight. I think it was against the cag in round 3. Glover hit him with an uppercut that seemed to stop jones for a second, and kind had him just sitting there until he back peddled.

yea or later in the same fight when machida got dropped w that short left super. he got rocked and dropped.
jones caught a clean one while off balance/slipping and or kind of trying to move rt as he's been hit and still wasn't rocked or dropped. sure he felt that one though.
