<p>Dominick Cruz joined the UFC on FOX broadcast booth after recapturing the bantamweight title to talk about the fight, but was quickly posed with his first challenge:</p>
Urijah Faber: Cruz, you gotta give it to him. What a journey he's been on. He's a real champion, he's the true champion. He has only lost to one team, that's Team Alpha Male. He's only lost to one guy, that's me. And I feel like I beat him the second time also. I connected to his chin. I know like he feels he is hard to hit. I found his chin, his butt found the ground and I'm going to make that happen again.
So let's do it Dom! This has been a long time coming. I've been sticking around a couple extra years just to let you heal up buddy. Your not made for battle. Thank goodness you made it out of this thing, hopefully alive. Hopefully the foots ok. Let's do this. Old news, new news. Let's get it done.
The second fight was close, I mean I guess u could but there has to better contenders right? Isn't aljamaine sterling higher ranked or Raphael assinciao (sp?)

This is actually a good fight to make. Lots of bad blood there and Faber makes a good point. He tapped out Cruz the first fight and I thought he won the 2nd.
Geez, I couldn't imagine mighty mouse vs anyone being a fight to make, never mind another rematch. It is a good sign there are some people out there do do appreciate his style, though.

Hear me out...
No matter what happens in Faber v Dom III, TJ gets next shot at the belt with an epic storyline behind it.
Dom is 21-1 in MMA with only one (avenged) loss to Faber The rubbermatch is a great fight to make and it's overdue. It's 9 years since they first fought and 5 years since the rematch.
Only problem with this scenario is the egg will want to do his usual, predictable, shitty Ultimate Fighter schtick to "build up the fight". It's like an ominous fucking cloud over MMA. Jesus UFC, get someone with a little creativity to do this part of his job.
If Faber is going to get a shot it needs to be very soon. Age and punishment is showing with Urijah. He is noticably slowing down. He is always in his best shape, and can still hold his own with all but a few of the very elite guys.I just dont know how much he has left challenge Dom with.
