Yes is is normal, some shows just do appearance fees.  Some do show and win bonuses. Sometimes you have the option to negotiate either.  At my Cage Rage event they offered only a show purse. I negotiated a further win bonus.

& then you may also have events that offer finnishing bonuses. Common in pride you get paid for a win inside the distance. Far better than a simple win bonus.

UFC also gives big bonuses for fight of the night. Best submission. Best KO.  So I guess there are similarities and differences all around.
