Again, Fedor won that match , that was not contested under MMA Rules. Rings rules once again, which limited Fedors "bombs" on the ground. Not the same as MMA rules.
In fact, Arona should have done much better considering his expertice in grappling / submission no gi matches during that period.
I've seen that match a number of times. Fedor deserved the win even under those limited rules,

i) RINGS was MMA with limited striking on the ground, so, his rings fights should count. (should we count UFC as MMA for not allowing kicks and stomps and knees to downed opponents?
ii) the 'body shots' and 'gullotines' didn't win him the fight under rings rules, in fact the fight was scored 0 for Fedor, 1 for arona, 2 for draw, and the overtime (scored seperately) was won by fedor's standup. but there never should have been an overtime, because the judge who scored it for arona was right.
also fedor's GNP wouldn't have done crap all since he was on bottom most the fight and mounted repeatedly (give arona strikes to the head from there and can someone say cut stoppage?)

Well personally I believe people WAY over think things like this. At the end of the day there is a 1 there, so yes...if I was the guy I would be a bit annoyed. It is not a discredit to Fedor in any way to remember that. People can watch the fight for themselves and be their own judge as to who deserved the win, but at the end of the day that little one is still there.

Fedor's record, although I wish it could be ignored, does have "1" in the loss column.
This is obviously a little messed up, because (by their own rules), the fight should be a No Contest.
But there is hope - Kirik now controls the records, and has stated he si "working on it". If he and Sherwood both decided it was a NC, nobody would argue with them. The Power of the Underground!

Agreed. He also lost a tourny when he was 12. Why is that not on his record? This is a huge coverup.
if a fight ends due to an injury from an illegal blow...I don't think it should count as a loss...imagine all the eye-poking that would happen if you could make hay via winning by illegal means.
