I'm sure that Mayweather is a great boxer, I can see that by the praise laid on him. It's the pay that I just don't understand.
How are the boxing shows able to pay boxers this kind of cash? If boxing promoters can do it why can't MMA promotions do the same?

Mayweather fights hand-picked opponents, and has been dodging anyone with a difficult style for him for years. His last real challenge was Castillo, and he is certainly not the top pound-for-pound, if you use fight from the past three years as the only method of measuring fighters.
He is, however, very skilled.
