Surgery for ACL and MCL. Probably out for best part of a year.
Which means he can’t fight, and probably won’t leave. There will be an interim. Maybe Stipe v Jones.
All the while the pay issues will be talked about.

Have a 4 person tournament for the belt…Stipe…Jones…Gane…Lewis
Jones vs Beast
Stipe vs Gane
Sure as long as Jones first fight is for the belt, no way he should consider non title fight at this point.
Make both fights interim title fights with the final being the unification…lol
Why not
Remember when the HW division was one of the 2 or 3 best in the ufc. Now other than WMMA it’s by far the worst of them
Francis sucks and he became so annoying overnight
I’d say 185-HW is pretty fuckin thin right now
135, 155 and 170 are the current best divisions imo
This would be great. Lewis and Gane would probably do it, Jones and Stipe would pitch fits like always.
Pretty sure all he has to do is sit out 1 year and his contract expires, so this was likely why he took this fight while hurt knowing he would have surgery afterwards and they couldn’t try and force him to fight for 10 months
Have the unifier on the day his contract expires
I have no clue but would find it hard to believe the contract wouldn’t include a clause where the extra year only counts down when he is able to fight.
Impossible to prove either way…
Jones Vs Gane and
Stipe vs Beast would be more entertaining fights in my opinion
When and how did we first find out that he was injured?
We already knew this on fight day after the fight.
It’s important to note he came into the fight with those injuries. Mad props to him for taking the fight, none of Dana’s favorites would ever do that.
Name a UFC heavyweight that hasn’t battled with injuries.
