Georges St-Pierre has been mostly quiet in the media since a press conference to announce his hiatus from the UFC, but today made a public appearance and commented on his status:

Most of the customers in the packed venue couldn't hear the question, so GSP -- who was late due to airline delays out of Montreal -- repeated it on the P.A..

"She asked if I'm coming back to UFC?"

Then he answered it.

"I'm taking a break now," he began.

"Because I'm an obsessive guy, I give myself a challenge which automatically will mean me working on it to obtain it. So right now I take a break. I don't give myself any preference, you know. There is a chance I will come back."

In a curtained off VIP-area where St. Pierre was made available for exclusive interviews with Global TV and your correspondent, he elaborated.

"I just took a break. I spent Christmas time and New Years, with my family. That's something I haven't done for a long time. This is the first time I've really had nothing on my schedule. It was perfect. It was fun. It's the first time it felt so good.

 1. Second quarter.

Good luck in all your future endeavors, Champ.

He'll be back and will put a whooping on the current champ. Phone Post 3.0

EvilMaster - 2015. Second quarter.

2015 Year of the Baby Faced Assassin?

No, 2014 is the year of the Baby Faced Assassin.

2015 will be the year of GSP.

Like when you set out on a long road trip,"are we there yet" 15 minutes in. No, we just got in the car, still gonna be a while. In a way I feel like this is how everyone is reacting to GSP right now. Phone Post 3.0

So you're sayin there's a chance?!?? Phone Post

I hope he stays away, but I doubt he will. That's how champions are wired. one day they drop off and then they fight someone who shows they have lost a step. Life isn't the same after you are champion for a lot of guys. They can't resist the urge to fight on, to make $$$ and to get attention. I hope he saved his money, retires and has a great next chapter in his life.

Obsessive people go crazy when they have nothing to obsess about. I predict a returning GSP vs a Returning Silva in early 2015 because some times a fighter's name transcends a title.

That is probably a very real possibility, but if it happens I predict it will be a lot like Roy Jones vs. Felix Trinidad. That fight ended up being more bad than good for both guys involved.

"It's only mentally. I lost fun doing it a little bit and I wanted to get it fun. First I started doing martial arts because I loved it. It's my passion. But then it becomes like a job and then it becomes a lot of pressure. And then all the pressure, the critics and a lot of stuff, the politics inside the sport, too, a lot of things happened that a lot of people are not aware of.

"I tried to make things change. And it didn't change the way I wanted it to."

The most telling part of the entire article.
I think this is referring to the WADA / VADA testing stuff, interdasting... Phone Post 3.0
