I picked 5% arbitrarily to be honest. It is more than clear that Hardy is outmatched in all areas. He has a very slim chance at landing a big shot. If he stood toe to toe with hardy hardy would have a slightly higher chance but GSP will do what he does and will take Hardy down at will. He has no reason not to and he will take him down pound on him rinse and repeat. There are 5 rounds, if it goes that far, so I figure every round starts on the feet and Hardys gonna have about a 1% chance in the beginning of the round to throw his haymaker before he is on his back. 1. In the first fight with BJ, he got lit up, got his nose broke, and was definitely outstruck. Wobbled, no.
2. I agree that it showed mental weakness, Hardy has tapped out 6 times GSP has tapped twice, once to an armbar, once to strikes. Hardy has tapped to 6 different submissions, should I call him mentally weak for not gutting it out or going to sleep?
3. I stand by my comments on trash talk. As for evidence, it is common knowledge that many people try to bully people but then back down when you call their bluff. Im saying that in general if you feel like you have to get in someones head then you are admitting you don't believe you can win soley on skill alone. Hardy won against Swick, I agree. I'd actually like to see a rematch with them sometime down the road, i hate split decisions.
