fighting is pretty normal in Hawaii. There is also still some sense of honor to it. When kids start bringing guns and knives b/c the got dropped then I'll start to worry. but till then ........

im a hawaii expert, ive went there once for a whole week in jr high
i didnt see a single fight, all the locals were very friendly and helpful... quick to bring us drinks, clean our rooms and such
if anything theyve got a problem of cursed tikis there
Hawaii don't sound any different than growing up in detroit for me. Except there were no hugs after the ass kickin' was given or recieved, ususally it escalated to something else if you won fair and square.
Despite some of the bad stuff... I CAN'T WAIT to move back!
