Henry Akins East Coast Tour

The Milkman - I'm a black belt and just spent 3 days learning from Henry Akins (I have a lot yet to go). If you are on the East Coast and do not jump on the chance to attend one of these seminars, you either do not care about real BJJ, or you are a complete idiot. Ok, that might be a little strong, but only a little. You should go.

Am I the only one who doesn't care one bit about Henry's BJJ? I've seen his videos nothing to amazing sorry.
You are an idiot. Phone Post 3.0

Incorrect- I'm an invisible idiot while you pay 200 bucks for a side mount escape.

This reflects on you, not him. Phone Post 3.0

Guess your right. I'm not into the Koolaid.
True, you are invisible and probably an expert at jiu-jitsu so I'm gonna shut up before you make us all sound stupid. Have fun training on a trampoline in your backyard. You are smarter than us all Phone Post 3.0

well that's exactly what this 'invisible' thing is about. Unless you feel it, you won't know the difference because it's doesn't look any different per se. Trust me, once you have Henry on top of you in side control you will know what all the hype is about. The pressure he creates is insane.

I remember watching Rickson ask a large room full of students, who was the biggest man in there. We looked around and all spotted a 220 lbs yoked purple belt. Rickson asked him to put him an RNC. The dude was really trying to finish him. After about 20 seconds with his hands at his sides Rickson then peeled the dudes arms off and then escaped. He had 2 other people try to finish him. See result.

He then went on to show how he does the RNC and how to blow through the RNC defenses.

It's very embarrassing to realize that as a purple you cannot do even simple white belt moves.

Henry knows these details and has mastered their explanations so that you absorb them in the fastest time possible.
Just my 2 cents. Phone Post 3.0

Depends where you are starting and ending in NC and MD.  From Charlotte, NC to halfway between DC and Baltimore (in Maryland) is about a 6 hour drive.

No need to focus on the NE.  I grew up in MD; it's a horrible place.  Also, I have it on good authority that they hate jiu jitsu in Maryland.

I will also point out multiple responses in this thread from southeasterners, nada from the northeast.

Gtown- where do you train in Charleston? Phone Post 3.0
Charleston Krav Maga. Rafaello Oliveira is our coach. Phone Post 3.0
Raffy is awesome, he would come train at AMA in jersey sometimes Phone Post 3.0
