Former UFC title challenger Justin Gaethje has responded to Conor McGregor’s latest attempts to challenge for the BMF title.

Gaethje defeated Dustin Poirier by second-round head kick knockout in the UFC 291 main event on Saturday. He earned the BMF belt and got his revenge five years in the making against Poirier.

Gaethje will likely earn a title shot for his next UFC outing against the Islam Makhachev vs. Charles Oliveira winner. Makhachev and Oliveira will square off in a title rematch later this year at UFC 294.
Gaethje has no shortage of potential opponents ready to challenge his status as the UFC’s BMF. This includes McGregor, who hasn’t fought since UFC 264 and is expected to return at a later date against Michael Chandler.

After watching Gaethje get his hand raised at UFC 291, McGregor took the opportunity to pivot from his expected Chandler fight in favor of challenging the BMF titleholder.
During the UFC 291 post-fight press conference, Gaethje addressed McGregor’s evaluation of his performance.
“I think he’s turned me down six times,” Gaethje said. "Usually you have to lose to fight him, so I don’t know what’s going on…I don’t really care…I fight MMA, I like to fight big fights, I like exciting things, sounds pretty exciting to me.

“I’m not gonna fight someone on steroids. Never taken steroids in my life, never will. I might take it when I retire, but I’d never want to fight someone that’s cheating and I probably shouldn’t even said that if I want the fight, but it’s the truth.”

Gaethje and McGregor have traded barbs from afar over the years. The two stars have been linked to numerous fight proposals in recent years but a fight has never come to fruition.
Gaethje has now won back-to-back fights since a lightweight title loss to Oliveira at UFC 274. He’s hoping to earn the undisputed UFC lightweight title to his repertoire before hanging up the gloves.

McGregor’s pending UFC return remains unclear, and Gaethje seems uninterested in fulfilling McGregor’s demands for the next BMF title challenge.

Fighters should start ignoring this shit and let the Irish steroid troll fade away.

Next time someone brings up Conman saying anything about anyone they should respond with “who the fuck is that guy?”

Can you imagine what Gaethje would do to his legs? McGregor is washed, I wish he’d just fade away and enjoy his money and family, but he’s far too stupid for that.

Gaethe could beat Conor without throwing a single strike

Conor is such a pathetic piece of shit. Can’t wait to try and steal another fighters thunder after a big win and make it about himself. He’s been doing it for years now, since he himself no longer has that fight in him. What a sad human being he’s become.

Yeah the “fuck chandler ill fight you instead” shit is trash. Chandler will smoke him too. All he cares about is staying relevant in the media. I doubt he ever fights again, and if he does he loses

Conor has always been fragile in the legs. Second Nate fight had him in crutches. Dustin kicked his legs off in the first and of course broke one in the second. Gaethje would murder him with leg kicks alone
