It would throw a pretty big wrench into things. Considering the UFC's HW contenders are largely unproven, too...I have no idea how it would pan out.

HW rankings are just impossible.
If Rogers gets the KO then Fedor was either never any good or over the hill.
When in reality Rogers has 1-punch KO power there's no denying it.

Actually I think Cro cop shot up the rankings because he got cut by the UFC after losing two. He hasn't lost yet in the UFC but when he does he'll drop out of the top 10. This is the same with Andrei. Expect him to drop out of the top 10 immediately if he signs with the UFC. He'll be replaced by Werdum in the rankings.
If Rogers gets the KO, Fedor loses his #1 Ranking.
And unfortunately for purist MMA fans, Lesnar becomes the #1 HW in the world.

Rogers definately takes a big jump in rankings if he gets the win over Fedor. Defeating one top ten HW in 22 seconds, and then the #1 HW in the world catapults him up there.
When is this fight?

I know it's laughable, but this is in the case that Roger knocks Fedor out. I'm just saying that it's how it would update the MMAweekly rankings. They currently have Mir at #3.

hate to break your zuffa induced fog, but if rogers beats fedor he gets the #1 spot. not fucking lesnar. you may not like it, but rogers would have the more impressive resume.
if rogers beats fedor, fedor wont fight for a long time cause his management is a bunch of assholes. then eventually strikeforce will lose rogers for whatever reason before he loses again. ufc will sign him, he will fight lesnar, and the winner will be billed as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. fedor wont be able to get that title back unless he comes to the ufc to avenge himself. which he wont.
but it doesnt matter, fedor will win anyways.
If Rogers knocks out Fedor, you HAVE to rank him above Brock...sorry. He is undefeated(I think) and wins over Fedor and Arlovski trump Couture and Mir...
