GSP is already getting this treatment. He does not finish, so he is not P4P status, despite beating legends such as the greatest WW of all time, BJ who is considered a P4P great by many fans, and Fitch/Shields who were fringe P4P fighters when they fought GSP.
We see it in boxing all the time. Roy Jones Jr. has had his stock dropped recently, and is no longer considered P4P greatness.
Michael Jordan even has detractors now. A lot of big time B-ball fans state Jordan was not the best, he was hyped up, allowed to break the rules to spark tension.
Soon Jon Jones will get the hype machine around him. He is the first UFC only 'Champion' who will fill out and move to heavy weight. He may have two long title runs in two solid divisions, and captivate future Fox fans.
Silva will lose speed. Unless he move up and gets more weight behind his punches he will start to slip by that time, and fans will then say he fought mediocre competition and 'was never that good.'

Hes not as athletic or whatever his body didn't take as kind of voyage anderson has taken. But I will show my kids one day what fedor did. Two fights made me begin training. Fedor Cro cop. And trigg Hughes first two fights my dad watched live.
Fedor will always have a big place in my heart. One day il hopefully say He's the reason I fought.

Anderson started earlier and Fedor was the least hit man in MMA along with Machida. Anderson had double knee surgeries while Fedor has never had any surgeries more major than for broken hand/toe.

In retrospect, you may be right. UFC fans seem to be the biggest turds in all of sports. But Fox-UFC fans may claim that title if they strip GSP and Silva of their due respect.
Smith1234 - Fedor hasn't had the hardest matchups or schedule in the last 5 years, and he is not that old either.It isn't about how old u are it's about how long u have been fighting.
So why is Fedor fading already? I think it is b/c he is in the deep end for every fight, no breaks via the can or outsized opponent any more.
