I've gotta say, I'm kind of amazed that the UFC put that out there on their feeder show. That's embarrassing! I always assumed that they do this "cribs" type thing with their marquee guys to illustrate to the public that UFC athletes are legit, makin' money, livin' the dream. Big Nog, former PRIDE HW champ, former UFC HW champ, top ten HW since the dawn of this millennia, is living in a friggin' 800sqft apt!? Yeah, the view of Hio's beach is nice but come-on! The kitchen, dining rm, living rm and gym are all the same room! He doesn't even have an oven, which surely makes a dishwasher unnecessary. The place is so small he resorts to showing us his underwear drawer, Wow, sweet pad! Then, for the climax we're treated to his wicked rides - a fairly cool but unimpressive Toyota FJ Cruiser, and a lame ass BMW X6, which comes up high in the running for ugliest production car on the market, (just after Tito's Panamera, that is). Look, I love Big Nog. And I hope this is just a crib he maintains while in the city training for a fight. I hope he's got a lavish estate out in the country and an 8.5 figure bank account to boot. But if this is the best he's got after all the years and all the success, the UFC might not want to advertise it so broadly.
Looks like it's just a vacation place, not full-time residence and secondly, beach front in Rio? I'm going to guess that place is far from cheap.
Besides, who cares if it's small or les than premium for a UFC fighter? There are CEOs in Tokyo that live in smaller apartments even when they could afford a luxury penthouse condo. To each their own.

i see where you are coming from, but you also have to realize that many of these dudes aren't fancy pantsy like that...all they care about is fighting and live rather simple lives, regardless fo how much $ they make...remember the all access and primetimes with BJ Penn? he was living in some bungalow apartment with "cheap" looking cabinets and drove a toyota 4 runner unlike koscheck with his mcmansion, lambo, and airplane

People have to remember that those things cost more in Brazil than in the USA. Like his FJ and X6 cost way more in Brazil than they do in the states. A Honda civic cost like 80K in reals in Brazil rather than 22K in dollars here. Right now the money is about $1 US for $2 reals.
Either Nog is doing very well for Brazilian people.

A) I'm pretty sure that's not his only house.
B) I don't think you realize the value of a place like that on the beach.
Not only that, but perhaps he is smart enough to realize that he shouldn't waste all of his money on stupid shit now and end up being broke when he's 50. Ever hear of budgeting? The guy will be retired in a couple years and is probably setting himself up to live comfortably for the rest of his life without ever being forced to work out of necessity. Seems smarter to me than spending an extra $50k on a car that you won't even notice the difference.

lets not forget that (his neighborhood) Rio is the most expensive (by square foot) in brazil,and the third in whole world i guess,only losing to London an NY,and he wanted the place to look like a NY loft,with the pool table in the kitchen,and I think they only showed not even half of the place,Big nog dont have any kids,so why live in a big house when is only he and his wife.
