Is BJJ safe for older adults

What is it with this old crap.. I'm 45 My old instructor would feed me to the wolves everytime I went to brazil... No one ever said to me in Brazil well you are over 40 we will roll light with you.. Just learn to trust in your knowledge and respect your body....

I am 51 and still train. I get briused up but keep on going. I agree with someone eariler that said that he fights chokes but will tap to a joint lock quickly. I also still train in Kickboxing. I know that I am slowing down but it keeps me in shape and I enjoy it.

 yes yes and yes

do it!

40 here and train 3-4 times a week, I only feel old and stiff when I'm not training. Just stay away from the guys that have no regard for your safety.

 52 and still compete!

"I don't have time for working out"

typical excuses'

"I'm 40 i'm getting old"

all typical excuses by your typical P.A.M. who's wife runs him. STOP being a pussy and start training! HGH! Test! lift weights, tan, take supplements, eat right! look at sly stallone. the man is 61!!! and he's making another fucking rambo movie! Look at Helio. Look at Royce, he's 41 and still competes.

What you need to do is

1.) learn to manage your time better

2.) stop making excuses and get out there and do it.

You need more organic food, organic weed, cod liver oil, 9-11 hours of sleep, chiropractor, sparring partners in your age, yoga after workout and no blackbelt in ego
