I'm not a Jones fan, and would love the show on FS1 to be headlined by him vs. Gustaffson, but I don't think a major injury to the big toe is anything to screw around with. He should probably play it safe, as much money as he makes now I think he'll be making a lot more three years from now if he stays healthy.

That was the plan all along, Dana said they wanted to make the FS1 debut the best tv event ever, that was a day before UFC 159.
Why is he even contemplating about this right now. He should wait the 3 weeks he has left then make his choice.
3 weeks from today would be June 19th.
June 19th to Aug 17th is 8 weeks and 3 days, thats a training camp.

Jones vs Gustaffson on FS1 is the fight everyone wants. it's big enough to get people looking for the channel but it's not a huge GSP ppv fight where zuffa will take a bath.
And Jones is a younger guy so it's a great investment for him and zuffa to be featured on free tv.
If he takes the fight he's likely gonna get to choose which opponent. machida or gustaffson... he already chose gustaffson.

Because tickets go on sale for the fs1 boston show in a few days so Jones has to confirm within 24 hours.
That toe injury was nasty. He should take it easy and heal up. 
^ yeah he wants to fight 2 times this year and the only way he's gonna do that is if he can make the fs1 card. The crazy thing is that if he wins, and anderson wins there could be a superfight at the end of the year.
The most interesting thing from all of this is that GSP, their biggest star, apparently refuses to do free TV.
Dont like the guy but rest up and however long it takes (within reason) let the toe heel
